Hi everyone,

DO you buy your suncream here or in the US?? If in the US- where and is it more specific to the Floridian heat (i.e. better) when bought there?

Any comments would be much appreciated as we are thinking of buying it there, but don't know where to get it from!!

Many Thanks,:wavey:

We buy it out there. Easiest place - one of the supermarkets such as Walmart. SO MUCH cheaper!

Buy it there, less to carry in your luggage. And it's cheaper. We usually get away with a decent size bottle of the spray-on for the duration of the holiday. Then whatevers left in the bottle at the end goes in the bin (or we just leave it in the room for the next visitors!).

 hiya' for me you cant beat walmart thats where i get mine for half the price of what you pay here especially hawiian tropics i bring next years home with me, you can buy all the same makes as here and the factor range is the same, so you would just buy what you normally would.

We buy it here. We like the Piz Buin once a day and get it when its on buy one get one free.

My youngest has sensitive skin and this one is fine for him. It would be my luck to get one there and end up with him head to toe in a rash.:confused2

we buy here, just because we dont have car hire until the second week. however last time we did buy in the hotel shop a brilliant clear spray that worked wonders, although was $13 a can and used maybe a can every 2-3 days

It is still the same thing if bought here or in the US - they don't put special things in for the Florida heat!!!:D
Suncream isn't that expensive it is probably cheaper buying it here when you are shpping than making a special trip to Walmart for it and paying petrol!!

We tend to buy ours in the US. We use coppertone and had to have it shipped into the UK earlier this year as our son had a major reaction to the cream I bought from a major supermarket, we find it works great for us and our son and stays on in the water for ages!

Buy it out there, Walgreens. We like the coppertone spray. So easy to use.

Having sensitive skin, I take some with me. I would recommend Ultrasun once a day, it is waterproof but does not leave you white!! I usually put it on twice a day and have not even suffered prickly heat using it. I also buy out there as it is cheaper and I find a much better selection for the less sensitive parts - legs and arms!

We take a couple of bottles with us - Piz Buin cool spray can but I buy the majority out there. We use Australian Gold spray - it is GORGEOUS!! Really nice on your skin and smells beautiful :o:

We buy it here as I like to use Piz Buin, which you can't buy in the US. I did buy one bottle of suncream over there when ours ran out, called Bullfrog, but although it was a higher SPF than the Piz Buin, DS & I burnt:(.

I'm interested in this thread too. I've tried loads of different creams and I've had no problems anywhere else on my body, but after a few uses, my hands always break out in a dermatitis type rash. Even though I wash it off immediately after applying it makes no difference. Anyone found a cream that's gentle on sensitive hands, as it's not really practical to wear gloves to apply?

Ambre solaire 40spf milk is £2.24 a bottle in Tesco at the moment, other strengths are £5-6 half price! I couldn't resist the bargain.

WE always get a small bottle to take to use as soon as we get there. Then when we get to Walmart we go for the huge bottles of NO AD suncream. Good prices and go a long way.

They have great Coppertone No Rub ones. Just spray on. Great idea, if you ask me.

Definately buy it out there as it's so much cheaper. Walmart is probably the best place to get it from but Walgreens sometimes have some good offers too.

We love, love, love the Panama Jack continuous spray. 1st bought it in Seaworld as I'd forgotten to take ours out for DD. I've never looked back. It's the only sunscreen I've ever used that doesn't make me or DD feel sticky, sprays on really easily with no rubbing in required so it's easy enough to top up during the day.

Just had to buy some from the UK website as we'd run out but at £12 a bottle compared to $12 it's a bit steep, will be stocking up when we're over there in September.:cool2:
