Dine with Shamu - Show Before or After

Hi,

It may be a daft question :blush:, but when you book the Dine with Shamu meal, is there a specific time show you have to go to, or are you pretty much free to go to whichever show you please?

I was under the impression that you had the meal then went to the 18:00 show, but when we visit, there is no show after the meal, only Shamu Rocks later on.

You can go to any show you wish, there is generally one on around 2pm-ish. It is only the Shamu Rocks Buffet that is linked to a show, as that meal comes with reserved seating for the show afterwards.
When we do Dine with Shamu, I don't think there is any show after it, so we have to make sure we go before it.

You can go to whatever show you wish, the Dine with Shamu experience does not incorperate the Believe show, it is backstage where shamu and the others do a little mini show just for you the Dining guests, We really enjoyed this, have done it twice.

Did they give you a time?
We were told to go to Guest Services at arrival in the park and they will tell us the time for Dine with Shamu - it is generally around 4.15pm.
Wouldn't want you to get there late:)

You get shamu in the pool with "Dine with Shamu", it would be misleading if you didnt,, but no reserved seating,, we got reserved seating for both backstage @ believe and shamu rocks, but then we were on a tour that day

We did dine with Shamu in May and the seating is reserved. The seats are reseved on a first booked basis. This was the best meal of our whole holiday and we got really close to Shamu. We went to the Believe show afterwards but I felt we had jinxed it. I had asked the trainer how often things go wrong and she replied not often but if the whales don't want to perform they won't. Yes you've guessed it, the whales at the believe show didn't want to play and so they cut it short so it's probably better to go to an earlier show anyway.
