View Full Version : ADR cancellations September 2008
Hi Guys,
If anyone is planning on cancelling any ADR's in september 2008 we are a party of 6 that has been desperately trying to get evening ADR's at Le cellier and Mickeys backyard BBQ for months
I would be so very very grateful if you could PM me or reply here.
thank you

Sorry no can do. will definately being using all my adrs. You might want to try booking restaurants that are a little less popular. Le Cellier is always very difficult to get adrs for especially if not booked 6 months before. Also the dinner shows such as backyard bbq are always popular apparently especially due to the free ddp in Sept. Might be worth another call
thanks chris. i'll just have to hold out hope that there may be someone out there that needs to re-jig their plans and frees up a slot.

I tried to Book Mickey Back Yard Bar B Que this week and had nothing for the whole two weeks of our trip - although we do have a number od other ADR's so cant be greedy - i was wondering though if it is ever possible to get cancellations when we arrive - do many people cancel at short notice....we have booked Whispering cafe but couldnt get a ADR till 9.20pm which is a bit late for the kids but was hoping to get a better time once we where on resort....
You could ask on disboards not sure if I'm allowed to say that but you could.
anniealfie,
looks like we're going to be there at more or less the same time! we are having the same struggle too with this backyard bbq. we have some adr's but the important ones we have really struggled with but the two most important were le cellier and bbq but for a party of 6 has been a problem for months.
are you staying on property?
are you doing any adr's for breakfast? we haven't we're going to wing it.
on the subject of cancellations nearer the time i'm really hoping the free dining has caused a lot of people to over book and then they will rethink when they arrive etc.
we are DVC members and are paying for ddp and are now wondering if this will be worth it if we can't get many decent sit down restaurants.

Can some1 tell me whats an ADR...sorry abbreviations are not my strong point?
Where do you go to book something like Mickey's BBQ?
hi,
ADR is advanced dining reservation, well thats what i've always called them anyhow.
BBQ etc should be booked thru disney dining tel (407 wdw dine)
hope this helps

Try asking for two parties of 3 on the same night, you'll stand a much better chance. You might not end up sitting together at Le Cellier, but it's better than missing out completely. I couldn't get a party of five at Le Cellier at the mealtime we wanted and I rang 180+6 days out! I booked a 3 and a 2 instead for 25th August.

Vikry - We are staying on site at Saragota Springs with Free DDP - i havent booked many breakfasts only Ohana's and Chef Mickey (as recommended by the nice Dibbers) we are really planning on eating in our room something small and having a quick service meal and i have booked a lot of Main dinners although I havent always got the time i would prefer.....I dont think we will use all of our Credits thou as we like to eat at off site restaurants and will do on the Seaworld. universal and as we have bokoed Discovery Cove we dont need any food that day - i am hoping that people will cancel nearer the time and will check when we get on site - I think i have enough ADR's including the main ones we wanted as we have booked Hoop De Musical so least have one dinner show....but see you there !!
