We intend going to a mexican restaurant this year. Have heard of 'Chillis', 'Taco Bell' and 'Chevvys'. What is your favourite and why ?

Taco Bell is more of a fast food place - the McDonalds of Mexican food.
I love it :D:D:D

We love Chillis. Good variety of menu including a selection for people who don't like spicy, great prices and massive portions.:D

Chevy's for us.
Fresh Nachos cooked in store, Guac Your Way - mixed at your table to your liking.
Excellent fajitas, big tasty cocktails.
Say it's your birthday and the staff come to your table and do the singing and clapping thing, give you a sombrero to wear and takeaway.
All in all good food. Authentic? Probably nto for some but it's tasty and well priced, seems fresh and well prepared/presented.
We'll be going a few times.

The only one ive tried is Chilis. I love it, theres so much choice. All the starters are delicious, especially the Awesome Blossom. The fajitas are really good too.

Chili's is a bit deceiving in regards to Tex Mex. I would compare it more to Friday's, Uno's, Ruby Tuesday, etc. because it has large variety and not necessarily Mexican.
Don Pablo's is the most popular of the chain restaurants and I'd say Chevy's and Amigo's would follow.
For a really good (and very affordable) mexican option you should really stop at a Chipotle. They are a counter service option but the food quality is fantastic! It is a bit on the spicy side so be aware of that before you add any hot toppings. My DH doesn't care for hot food but he loves Chipotle.
