Hi guys!:wavey:
Ok, this is my first ever post so please be gentle with me:d:
We will be travelling to Florida on the 10th October and return on the 24th. We have booked with Thomsons and will be staying at the Vista Cay condo's which we believe to be near the Orange County Convention Centre????
I will be travelling with DH and sons aged 10.5 and 6, we have'nt booked tickets yet but looking at:
Orlando flexi ticket and Disney Ultimate 14day passes.:spin:
Right plan at mo is:
Fri 10th: Arrive around 2pm, so hire car, find condo, dump cases,
shop - food:d:
Sat 11th: universal studios - poss disney parade pm
Sun 12th: Epcot
Mon 13th: Seaworld
Tues 14th: Typhoon Lagoon
Wed 15th: Lazy am
Magic Kindom pm poss disney parade 3pm or/and 8pm
Thurs 16th: SHOPPING:spin:
Fri 17th: Islands of Adventure
Sat 18th: Animal Kingdom
Sun 19th: Daytona 500
Mon 20th: Wet n Wild till 3pm
Epcot parade 9pm
Tues 21st: Disney Quest am
Mickeys halloween party pm
Wed 22nd: Disney MGM
Thurs 23rd: re-do whatever??
Fri 24th: leave for airport midday:nonono:
We kno the parks close earlier at this time of year so plan is that hopefully by the time we have eaten it won't be too late to bed!
Hope we have got the balance right, have seen other itineraries that include where they are eating, do you think we need to do that also?? - seems more of a mine field than sorting parks:d:
please be honest, all info/comments etc. will be taken on board.
I kno there are lots of posts like this so thank you in advance to anyone who replies :thumbs-up
Sounds good for a first visit:) although I'd recommend Disneys Blizzard Beach waterpark over Wet n Wild anyday. Also MK tends to be the most crowded of the Disney parks so it might be best to make that one an earlier start day, and swap your later start to another park.
The free Disney Dining Plan should be finished by then I think, so you should be ok getting reservations for dining on the day if you're flexible.
Welcome to the world of the Dibb:D

i dont see a full day at MK....? you will probaby need a few to be honest. I would start disney with MK!! Also, finish your holiday with the MK fireworks... not a dry eye in sight!
personally i prefered wet n wild to blizzard beach re the above comment, much cleaner and warmer water.
Also, unless you are all coaster freaks you wont need a full day at IOA, do half a day and another half day at universal.
Full day at typhoon lagoon? Make it a half day and do some shopping.
enjoy
Sorry haven't been before so can't help re your itinery but just wanted to say Hello and welcome to the Dibb! :wavey:

I would try to fit in Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, it's AWSOME.
(You're going the EXACT same date's as I went last year!)
:wavey:Firstly hiya and welcome:)
I would definately say you can do IOA & US in a day and would stay for the Epcot parade on the day you are there you can stroll around the World Showcase too:thumbs-up I also would swap DTD to pm after a waterpark & do MK all day on the day you are going to the MNSSHP IYKWIM:)
:wavey:
Hello and welcome to the Dibb wow you have been busy.Sounds good to me.
Mon 13th: Seaworld
I think this is Colombus Day which is a public holiday so you might want to re schedule your shopping day to this because all of the parks will be busy, google this to make sure.

Firstly welcome to the Dibb and boy are you in for a great holiday at Disney. This forum will help you so much, you just need to make sure you take your time and have a good look around all of the forums, you'll find some pearls of wisdom, park secrets and generally get great advice from your fellow Dibbers.
Fri 10th: Arrive around 2pm, so hire car, find condo, dump cases, shop - food:d:
sound good
Sat 11th: universal studios - poss disney parade pm
Allow for travel time from Universal to Disney, you may feel a bit rushed so it might be more practical to go to Universal IOA while you're there
Sun 12th: Epcot
You'll need at least a day for Epcot
Mon 13th: Seaworld
Cool, take your swimming gear and try out the new water park
Tues 14th: Typhoon Lagoon
Been here, loved it
Wed 15th: Lazy am Magic Kindom pm poss disney parade 3pm or/and 8pm
After a day Typhoon Lagoon you'll be pretty chilled out so don't think you'll need a lazy am. May want to have an early start and get a full day in MK, I think you need it
Thurs 16th: SHOPPING:spin:
My wife's favourite pass time !!
Fri 17th: Islands of Adventure
As above, maybe move this to Sat 11th. You can do both Universal parks in a day unless your a coaster freak like me! We've booked 2 days for Universal with a stop over at the Hard Rock Hotel to give us unlimited front of line passes. See theme park forum, one night stay at universal thread for more on this.
Sat 18th: Animal Kingdom
An early closing park so you'll have some evening time unless it's a PM Extra Magic Hours day. Check it out.
Sun 19th: Daytona 500
I'm an F1 man myself so . . . no comment
Mon 20th: Wet n Wild till 3pm Epcot parade 9pm
Never been to Wet n Wild but looks cool.
Tues 21st: Disney Quest am Mickeys halloween party pm
You'll love MNSSHP (halloween party). Maybe look at fancy dress, the americans love it. We dressed our boy up year before last as death. Just got a black gown, grim reeper sithe (or siccle) and a mask from one of the malls. Cheap and great fun.
Wed 22nd: Disney MGM
Fave park for me, don't miss Fantasmic
Thurs 23rd: re-do whatever??
Spare day is good, go with the flow
Fri 24th: leave for airport midday:nonono:
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
When parks are closing pretty early then do some PM planning. I always plan AM and PM as there's more than just parks to do. Maybe visit Disney hotels and plan your next trip.
Here's your first little known Disney special spectacle, make sure you catch the water pageant on bay lake. Go to the Poly hotel on the monorail one night, get a drink, head for the beach, be there by 9pm, grab a chair/hammock or sit on the sand and . . . wait.
Enjoy.

A really big thank you to everyone who posted their thorts etc. You will never know what a help you have all been :beer2:
We have made a few tweeks to our plan, and no doubt there will be a few more:d: getting other peoples opinions that have actually been there really does help - like we never thort we could do Universal & IOA in one day, to me it seems a bit overwhelming at times trying to get the right balance:tounge:
Anyway here goes draft 2:
Fri 10th: arrive,car, shop etc.
Sat 11th: Universal studios/Islands of Adventure
Sun 12th: Epcot, fireworks 9pm
Mon 13th: lazy am, shopping (Columbus Day)
Tues 14th: Typhoon lagoon,pm free at mo
disney fireworks later
Wed 15th: MK + parades 3/8pm
Thurs 16th: Seaworld, pm free at mo
Fri 17th: lazy am, pm epcot
Sat 18th: Animal Kingdom
Sun 19th: Daytona 500
Mon 20th: Aquatica, pm shopping

Tues 21st: Magic Kingdom

Flossie, I think you will find that with it being your first trip you will need full days in parks like Seaworld.
Seaworld purposely overlap shows for crowd control and you will do a lot of criss crossing in this park.
Epcot we do over 2 days.
First day we do Futureland as it opens at 9am till 7pm. Normally leave about 5/6 pm and go out of the park for tea or back to villa for a pool evening.
Second day at Epcot we use as a lazy AM, go after 11am and do World Showcase. We then use this day to see the fireworks as WS doesnt close until 9pm. EPCOT is a huge park.
