We were thinking of staying on site next year and are used to a villa with own washing machine etc.................where do on site user do their laundry or do you take it home to wash? the plus point about a villa i suppose is that you dont have to take so many clothes out with you as you can wash as you go along?

oh funny we have changed places with you we always stay on site but this year and next we have booked a villa.
There are washing machines at disney we found though some greedy people would have 3 or 4 machines on the go at once. we also found sometimes up to 3 or 4 macines were not working.
Been onsite we also found the room small after 3 weeks.atleast with a villa you have room to breath.

I would agree on the greedy people using 3 - 4 machines. They look at you like your an alien daring to use a machine. But I always end up managing to get my washing done. In disney we put the stuff in the machine whilst we were around the pool.

We Are Doing A Week In Villa Next Year And A Week In Hotel , Ideally It Would Be A Villa On The 2nd Week But Our First Week There Is Thanksgiving So It Would Be Too Exp. To Stay In A Hotel. We Want To Do 5 Days Disney And 2 Days Hard Rock...

Laundries are usually beside the pool, put washing in, have a swim, get washing out, put into dryer, go for another swim, take washing out and fold ready to wear again. The best way to do laundry :D

I was going to take some washing tablets or liquitabs with me, are these ok to use?

That's what we do too!
We flew home yesterday and the night before our flight we went for a midnight swim just so i could do all the laundry! No dirty washing to bring home with us! Result! :D

We always take our own liquitabs with us and had never had a problem until this trip when they all squashed/exploded in the case! Luckily i'd wrapped them securely so nothing was ruined, but i think i'll take powder next time!

As long as you've got them wrapped up well it should be ok! This is the first time in 4 or 5 trips that we've ever had a problem with them! :wavey:

we had no problem getting the laundry done when onsite last time. I am an early riser so on non early start mornings i would get up early and do the laundry whilst the rest of the family slept, and i just got a coffee in my refilable mug and sat outside in the peace and quiet and wrote up my trip reports. I usually found i as the only one using the machines at this time, but the one time i did try during the afternoon whilst having a swim i had to wait for a machine.

approx 7am, although i did do it earlier a few times, most people are more concerned with breakfast and going to the parks till about 9am and then those who are having a morning at the resort hit the laundry
