Hi there Disney Posse. Probably not much help, but i stayed at the Hawthorn Suites just off Int drive - Canada Drive. Last year i have to say it was excellent. So much so we are booked for next year.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and plenty of space for all of us. We got breakfast each morning, good selection. Cocktails for 2 hours each evening and evening meal one night per week
I would imagine there would be very little difference between the 2 locations if any
Hope this helps -

Thanks for that, looking at going next Xmas. Eldest boy will be nearly 17 and they can do with a bit more space really to spread out. If my DH ever gets back to me with the "OK" I want to get it booked -another countdown - yippee!!!
Hi,
We stayed at this hotel in 2005 and we thought it was very good - in fact we are already booked to stay there next year 21st August 09.
It changed hands not long after we stayed there and became Savona suites, but then became hawthorn again last year.
Obviously it's been a few years since we stayed there, but if you need to know any more let me know and I'll tell you what I can
Cheers,
Paul.

We have just got back from staying here and I can not fault it. The location was great it took 5 min to get to seaworld 10 min to Disney and about 10 min to walmart which is just up the same road.
There are resturants 2 min away.
The free breakfast was great it saved us loads of time and money.
The rooms were very clean and we had loads of room for the 5 of us.
The pool area was nice and the kids liked playing on the basketball.
If we stay off site again it will def be here. My friend stayed at the fairfield suites and said she would use our hotel next time she goes.
If you have any questions just ask and I will try to help you.

Wow and thanx Zoe we have booked for next may and was looking for someone who has been lately.
Did you have a 1 bed suite? I have emailed them about getting a 2 bed suite months ago and they havent emailed me back yet! There are 5 of us as well lol
It sounds as if you liked it then? Was the breakfast ok? Could you see any fireworks from your room?
Thanx x

Yes we did have one bed and there was more than enough room for the 5 of us.
We didnt see any fireworks. We where in room 305 which looked over the swimming pool. The breakfast was good there were cooked things every day egg, sausage and sometimes a funny potatoe thing. There was also waffels or muffins and some other cold things and drinks. I think mon - thur they had a happy hour with free drinks and snacks and one night they had a light meal but we didnt ever go to this as we were always out.

Thanx for replying! Thats good to know then I will leave the upgrade then if the rooms are big enough as its only a base anyway isnt it. We will go to the drink thing if we are back in time but cant see it either as will probably only go back after we have had tea...
Are you going to go and stay there again or try somewhere else?

Hi Paul
Just read this.
I cannot fault this hotel. I just posted on another thread. There was 3 adults and 2 kids in our room. Plenty of space for everyone, there was a tv in the sitting area and bedroom so no arguments over that. Room was spacious and clean and good kitchen facilities.
Breakfast every morning good selection, enough to get you out in the morning. There is also a small gym and internet room.
There is a basketball area and a good size pool. Somedays we even had the pool to ourselves.
Cannot say a bad thing
Hope this helps
