As the title says - would I be able to rent a villa for 6 days next Oct? - 17th-22nd?

Would most owners refuse hoping to get a week or 2 week booking?

Theres only 3 of us, but we've always stayed in a hotel and next year I'd love a villa so we could wash our clothes ready for the cruise and save a ton of weight.

I don't see why not, a booking is a booking after all, and you may be filling a gap for a villa owner.

Have you asked on here on the Villa forum?

The company we used in Feb let us book for 9 days ok, just charged us the weekly rate plus 2/7 for the other days. I think I noticed that if it is less than 7 days they charge an extra cleaning fee but may be wrong.

Most villa owners will book out for six days without a problem but as they have to pay additional fees to the management company for additional cleans (over and above those usually costed out for reting their villas for two week periods), most owners do pass this charge onto the guest requiring a shorter booking.

We've got a 4 bed townhouse booked for 6 nights this October...The owner was fine with it...We booked way back last summer!

Yep, 6 days is not an issue for most owners, although UK guests tend to go for 2 weeks, a lot of Americans only ever go for 6-7 days.

It should be with no problem, expect to pay around £50 for a cleaning fee on top of the daily rate.

Can't see it would be a problem. We go for eight nights in November. Maybe you should check out the villa price for the entire duration as it may work out just a good value as the hotel and it would save you packing up to move.:tinkani:

Hi Karen :wavey:

We don't have a problem at all with taking bookings for 6 nights or less. However like most villa owners we do have to apply a cleaning surcharge for stays of less than a week.

You should have no problems finding a villa to meet your requirements. :d:

When we were searching around, 5 days seemed to be the minmum for most villas

we stayed in a 3 bed condo this year and have booked again for next year direct with the owner. They will take bookings of less than a week. We found it to be quite good value as there was only 3 of us. If you want any info pm me.

Thanks everyone:thumbs-up

Its a bit of a luxury for us having a villa - we're used to an I Drive hotel, but being as it was only for 6 days I thought it would be great to chill out in our own pool!:spin:

I need advice!

Where should I start looking?

What resorts/areas etc are lovely?

What sort of price should I be expecting to pay in October for 6 days??

Hi,
The same again with us we will only charge the cleaning fee to incorporate the dates you require, but do get booked early as Dibb Villas are in demand, take a look at our website and PM us for a quote.

We take bookings of 5 days minimum and 30 days maximum. As said by others, a booking of less than a week does attract a small charge for cleaning. There are some fantastic villas here on the DIBB.

Have a fantastic trip

If you are going to be charged another £50 for being there less than a week (1 day less) surely it would make more sense to book 7 days then.

You would then not have to leave the villa by 10am in the morning and could stay until your flight leaves.

Maybe it's the Financial Controller in me, but that is what I would do.
