View Full Version : Pleasure Island
Is it worth going to Pleasure Island in the evening?
On past trips to WDW we have walked through during the day but never the evening.
This year when I go my DBF is coming for the first time, and has said that he would like to do this. I know that on a Friday and Saturday night it gets very busy, but do they do the same sort of thing the rest of the week?
Thanx in advance

Growing up in Orlando PI use to be a big hangout for us on the weekends. If your DBF is into the club scene (including comedy clubs) then it is well worth the night out. They have several types of dance clubs and live entertainment. Every night is considered New Year's Eve so make sure you are outside at the stroke of midnight.
I highly recommend Jelly Rolls at West Side. It is a great piano bar and one not to be missed if you've not been to one before.
Have a great time!
.....23 days and counting for me! First time home since I moved....and I'm going back as a tourist! Mickey here I come! :jump: :D :jump:
I enjoy the Adventurers Club, a 1930's style gentleman's club with interactive entertainment (watch the moose head!). Also like The PI Jazz Company, especially if Groove Logic is playing.
I love the Adventurers Club in can be hysterical in there. The Old Colonel 'picked' on me once - I was mortified, which of course he loved and only encouraged him.
I prefer PI on a week night, when it's not quite so hectic.

KONGALOOSH! Another vote for the Adventurers Club, the Comedy Warehouse or Club or whatever is also worth a visit.
The Comedy Warehouse is very entertaining. The CMs are very witty and quick. I prefer the earlier shows though as the later it gets the more adult the material, probably due to a more realxed:drinkbeer :drinkbeer audience!

is there anywhere you can sit in these places and not get picked on as i would like to see them but i hate audience participation
p&l - Just make sure you are not sitting right next to the phone at the Comady Warehouse!
I'm not sure anywhere's safe in the Adventurer's Club. I'd been in there loads of times, but got well caught by the Colonel :o: It was such goodhearted fun, even though I was blushing like mad

Another Kongaloosh here !
PI is also quite OK for families (probably about 12 yrs up) in the evening - all the clubs are open to families except the 2 night clubs (which are over 21).
Adventurers Club and Comedy Club - you'll have a laugh in these.
Don't forget to tell the CM's at the entrance who's driving - they'll give that person an arm band entitling them to 2 free soft drinks during the evening.
PI is also one of the Plus+ parts of a Hopper+ ticket
