Hi everyone

Can anyone tell me whats this hotel is like? I've booked it for 1 week next August. Stayed in LBV this year which was great but fancied trying a Disney hotel because of the perks.

Any info that anyone can give me about anything to do with the hotel will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance. :)

Quite a lot of people love this resort, we didn't, however, different strokes for different folks.

Have fun, whatever you choose.

We loved POFQ. I have some pics of the rooms in the gallery. It's a very pretty resort in a beautiful riverside setting. It's nice and compact so you don't ever have far to walk to anything and there is the added bonus of a boat to Downtown Disney or Riverside. The pool has a great dragon slide. You must try the beignets in the food court, mmmmmmm.

we stayed in POfq 6 ish years ago now, it was our first taste of disney hotels, the bus / boat to the parks were great, nice and fast to the entrance to the park ( just as they are with all disney hotels ), we enjoyed our stay in the hotel

we then stayed in ASmovies last year, then we realised what disney hotels are about, ASMo is just FUN FUN FUN

whilst the themeing of POfq is good, its more of a adult themed hotel, after staying in ASmo we would only choose ASmo from now on, its just full of disney

you will have a cracking time in POfq though, dont think im down on the resort, just AS was more suited to us

I loved it, thought it was better than the Animal Kingdom Lodge which is a Deluxe hotel!

Gorgeous place to stay, and nice to have some quieter surroundings with more space and loads of facilities inc the bonus of 2 great food courts and the use of 2 great pools too!! POFQ is better for buses.

Glad you've found it useful. Let me know if you find out anything that might be helpful for the site while you're over there.

(Actually, I didn't get much of a chance to get French Quarter menus and bar drink lists last time - if there's anything written you can pick up for me, or just take a few quick digital snaps of the price boards while you're at the bars or food court, that'd be great!)

Have a lovely time,

Andre

I really love POFQ. We stayed there for 2 weeks in May and I will definitley be going back when I next go!

I liked that it was small which meant getting to the buses, boats (which take you to Riverside or Downtown Disney - such a bonus!), resaurant and swimming pool took no time at all.

I love the theme and the music that was played around the resort and the guy who did the evening entertainment in the bar was brilliant!!!

Rooms were a good size and very clean! Look out for the hidden Mickey's in there!

Again we loved the place. Stayed at AKL two years ago, and LBV Fairfield Inn last year and enjoyed both.

However we all thought POFQ was the best. Lovely resort, very close to Epcot and MK and just - to be honest - fantastic.

Would go back at the drop of a hat - you'll have a great time.
