I am thinking about buying some tickets off e bay and need to know if there is a way of checking to see if the tickets i'm buying still have two days left on them. surely there must be some way to find out. I dont want to buy these tickets only to find out they dont have any days left on them. Please help..

I don't think there is anyway at all you'll be able to find out.

Is the seller trustworthy? Do they have 100% good feedback? I recently sold 4 x Disney Water Park entrances that were leftover from our hoppers.

How can they have two days left on them? I thought that Universal tickets expired, unlike hoppers which never expire.

Buying tickets off ebay is a big gamble, very risky.
you have to blindly trust the seller as there is no way to check the tickets until you actually put it in the turnstyle at the gates.

Disney used to have a phone number you could call to check but they stopped that some time ago.

In a word,"dont".

Dont get me wrong as I use e-bay quite a lot.

But I have found to my expense that not everybody on e-bay is honest which is a shame.

As for Disney/Universal tickets I personally wouldnt touch them.

I have sold Disney tickets on e-bay before - but I would be very wary buying them.

Sounds like a contradiction but I know I am an honest seller and that my tickets were genuine, I wouldn't feel safe getting them from someone else.

As Stu said until you put them in the turnstiles at Disney you won't know if they will work - by then it is too late.

Think very carefully before buying tickets this way.

If you are going to buy something of that value from ebay, then make sure that the seller is reputable preferably 99%+ positive feedback and a rating over 50.

Don't do it. The tickets are not transferrable. You have to sign the back, and sometimes they get you to sign a list on the way in.

It really isn't worth the risk!

And these days with Disney tickets you have to put your fingers on a scanner as you put the ticket through the machine at the gate - no way you can get away with using someone else's I shouldn't have thought.

Seems that you already have your answer but from my point of view DONT RISK IT. you aint saving much are you really, just a point to add..... on one visit to IOA last year we were actually asked for ID from one of the adults last year. Apparently they are allowed to ask and they were nice about it but said that every once in a while they are instructed to do Strict checks. I guess its to stop people selling them over E bay !

DON'T DO IT!!
I've traded on ebay & there are some bogus charaters that deal on there. If you feel that you just have to do so then check out their feedback. Also as mentioned above the tickets are not transferable as they should be signed on the back & Universal tickets do expire. Please also be aware that some rogue dealers have started to copy legitimate sellers profiles to their own profile to look like genuine traders but in fact they are complete con artists. Ebay is a good site but unfortunatley you may encounter the rogue dealer. Please use a trustworthy ticket dealer such as Keith Prowse or MapleLeaf - both have got excellent reviews throughout various forums on DIBB

As as already been mentioned a few time Universal Tickets expire so many days after first use. Buy your tickets from a legitimate source there is nothing worse than getting conned by the lure of a cheap price.
