I know many of you are eagerly waiting for the full opening of The Mummy. According to an email newsletter just received it has been scheduled for 25th June.

I hope it still has soft openings as we are going in May.

Ceejay - are you sure that the newsletter refers to USF and not USC for a June Opening date?

Yes you are quite correct, ncoathup. I hadn't noticed that it referred to Hollywood. No excuses but my email viewer was not full screen and I had just returned from a very long (and boozy) BBQ sitting out in the hot sun.

Personal apologies have been PM'd to gasmark7, Mike Jones and Bob & Dawn.

Thank you for pointing out my glaring error. I'll go and stand in a cool, dark corner for a while.

I tried to get on a soft opening last week and they would have none of it, DAMN.

I have a friend who is there now and stays until the 19th. I'm anxious to hear what he has to say about it. It was certainly on the list of things to do if soft openings were in swing.

they still appear to be letting the public on at certain times of the day (see my other thread) at the moment. Rumour out here has it that it may open for easter....

The Mummy is supposed to open to the public properly from May 21st. At the moment there is soft openings but that will change from this weekend when they are closing it down again to do some more work on it. Thats not too say that they won't open up sometime between this weekend and May 21st for some test runs.

CarolDel has just returned from WDW today and said she was on the Mummy. If anyone wants to find out more, perhaps you should pm her.

I'm just editing this post to give you this thread link about the Mummy (http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24681)

I too queued up 1 hour for this ride last week. It was OK, not as good the Hulk or Tower of Terror in terms of thrill factor.

Do they have an express service for this ride??

Yes you can express it - we went on last week. Very good. Worth going on. Lots of things other rides do not have. It goes backwards also has fire in it - won't give much away as it will take the surprise away from it. Not glad to be home!

Thanks Don, we are really looking forward to this ride!!
