Fire or Ice? Is there a difference ...

Leading on from the Hulk thread ...

Duellig Dragons, Fire & Ice ... We usually ride both when we are at the park, but does anyone have a personal favourite?

And is there any difference? Is one better than the other?

Id be interested to hear why you choose which one ...

In my opinion Fire is the more frantic of the two, the elements seem to come at you faster than on Ice. I personally enjoy Ice more than Fire, however the cobra roll is dissapointing as the speed isn't quite right and the train almost seems to be pulled back round - which is very unusual for a B&M coaster.

Also, Ice seems to always have the shorter queues :) On the back of Fire has the best stomach churning moment when you go over the hump back at the very beginning.

Going racing up to the wall on Ice is great but I think Fire is still slightly better for the ride as it appears longer, but only by a few seconds.

..I reckon if I blindfolded most people who knew DD, and asked them to identify the one they were on, most would fail, or simply guess!:D

I like the entire ride on both... if I could only do one, I'd flip a coin.;)

Fire gives you a slightly more intense ride hence the longer queues, which were apparent when we visited. They're both good rides, but Ice is the tamer of the two.
