Guest House at Sanford Airport

Fellow Dibbers - I'd be interested to know if anyone has made use of the Guest House at Sanford Airport before flying home - also any idea of the cost??

We used it last time we flew home from Sanford and are going to use it again this time. Cost is £10 each. Internet use is available, but only certain sites, a lot are blocked. There was a quiet reading area, but all the british papers etc were gone. You are allowed 2 alcoholic drinks free per adult, very small cup of wine and beer etc. Any extras you pay for. There were plenty of soft and fizzy drinks available, I think the machine broke down so they put out cans of coca cola. Biscuits and crisps also very plentiful. Storage area for bags was just open shelves. All in all quite a good idea to get away from the very packed lounge area. Hope this helps.

We used the Guest House at Sanford for the first time last year. Our flight was delayed for 3 hours because of the thunder storms so we definately got our £10 worth! It was quiet and comfortable and the people we met were happy to chat about their holiday experiences. We are booked in again for this year.

GUys, thanks fo rthe advice - do you book or just turn up when you arrive for the return flight - sounds as if it's worth it so far!!

You would be best to book in advance, numbers are limited, so you run the risk of it being full if you leave it until your return flight.

Who did you book your holiday with, we booked with Travel City and they can add it on to the booking?

I managed to ring Sanford Airport direct & asked to be put through to the Guest Room - they have taken my booking over the phone for our return day. 2 adults & 2 children (up to age 20!!). Credit card required to hold but not debited until we book in. Excellent over the phone service & probably saved a few ££ booking direct rather than through Travel Agent :thumbup:
