Taking my father (65) with us to WDW in a couple of weeks, he's into aeroplanes so I'm thinking of taking him to Fantasy of Flight, checked it out on the web and it looks right up his street. Anyone been? How much time am I likely to spend there? Also, Warbirds might be an option but doesn't seem as large.
If you scroll to the bottom of this page there are some links to earlier threads about Fantasy of Flight. Hope they help.

DH and I are also into planes - it depends on what really your Dad likes - if it's commercial stuff then Fantasy of Flight will be fine - but I'm more of a warbird gal and I found it a tad boring (although they are expanding and it should be an amazing facility) Bear in mind I'm used to collections the size of Duxford and Hendon. The nice thing about Fantasy of Flight is that one plane gets rolled out each day and Kermit Weeks (the owner) usually does a Q & A session on that particular plane (for our visit it was the Storche) and then takes it up for a short display.
We enjoyed Fantasy of Flight but found it a bit sterile.
The Flying Tigers Warbird Restoration Museum off the 192 at Kissimmee Gateway Airport is more hands-on they don't mind if you touch the aircraft and you can talk to the mechanics. Not as big as F of F, but more interesting.
Sorry I can't remember what it was called but there was also a large Aircraft museum on the way to the kennedy space center, about 5 to 10 miles before hand.
don't tell Raksha but next time I'll allocate 2 days for kennedy, one to do this and the NASA hall of fame, and the other to do the center.
it's too much to do all in the one day.
