Going without kids, where is the best evening entertainment??

We like bars and nightclubs, nothing too rowdy, maybe a theme bar or something like that. Also any romantic places??

Also if we need id to get in, do i have to take passport or they happy with a photocopy?

We like PI. It gets quite busy at weekends and I think Thursdays is the night Disney staff go. We went in the week last August and had the kids with us. I must say, no other children in sight! But they are 11 and 13. There's a jazz place, a rock place, 70s cheesy pop, a comedy warehouse (they do a very good "Whose line is it anyway" routine) plus a very wierd place where you sit in booths and everyone is in turn of the century clothes. Unfortunately, my niece got quite terrified by the moving eyes (!!!) and we had to leave - quickly! So we'll never know... There is a live act on stage and another disco which definitely didn't allow kids. All in all, what with the shops, the nurses wandering around selling "injections" and the open air cocktail bars there is something for all - however, not sure about the romantic. City Walk has lots of different bars but seems much much busier - probably because its en route to the car park from Universal Studios and IOA. Further up from PI however, is West Side which houses more shops and restaurants including the House of Blues - and I think the Stereophonics are going to be playing there soon. We like wandering around there - particularly the magnet shop! This is a little busier than PI because it's free!. Hope this helps.

Church Street Station used to be good , lots of different themed bars, restaurants and shopping but I don't know if it is still open?

This is located nearer central Orlando and makes a change from Disney/Universal.:D

I had a feeling Church Street Station had all but closed down. Remember one of the hliday programs said it had seen better days, maybe I am imagining it though, anyone able to confirm if closed or not???

The Church Street website says looking for tenents for early 2004 opening. Maybe they will be back sometime in the future. I remember going as a kid and the atmosphere was great. I still have a keyring from Rosie O'gradies somewhere.

Pleasure Island has seemed to gone downhill in the past couple of years ,whereas Universal city walk is fresh and vibrant with something for all ages.
