Hi All

Has anyone stayed in a villa on Orange Blossom Trail. I am curious as to what the area will be like ,as we will be allocated on arrival. This is our first visit and any information will be helpful ie distance to parks and shops etc etc :confused2

Whereabouts on the Orange Blossom Trail? This is a very long road, and I don't know of any subdivisions directly on this road.

I would have thought any subdivisions on the Orange Blossom Trail would be either up towards the Florida Mall or down below Downtown Kissimmee.
Anything in the middle is car sales and retail parks,Gatorland and Tupperware head office. I dont recall any villas in that area

Stingray, who have you booked your villa with?Do you know the name of the community you will be staying on?
I would give them a ring and ask them for the exact location of the community you will be staying at.
If its the bottom end of Kissimmee then you have a probable 20 min drive to Disney which is perfectly acceptable.

I'm pretty sure there are some villa locations on South OBT but for the life of me I can't remember the name of them, also don't know if they're short term rentals or owner occupied.

Can anyone else help here?

Thanks for your time all Dibbers

We booked our holiday through dial a flight and were told our villa will be on orange blossom trail. I know the name of the company that will supply the villa. They are called holiday homes orlando. As this is our first trip to Florida I was a bit shocked when I looked on the map for Orange Blossom Trail and saw the size of it. I am still a bit puzzled as to why I have booked a major holiday like this and don't no where I will be staying. I must have got caught up in the excitment during the booking ( big kid really).
Is this normal practise for booking holiday in Florida? I always knew what my Villa was in Spain.

It is the norm when booking through an agency rather than booking direct with an owner who will give any details you wish about their homes.
The reason is they tend to over book their homes and maybe have to find you somewhere else to stay so by not telling you where it is their job is easier and you cause less hassle for them by not kicking up a fuss because you don't know where you should be.

OBT is a long road and parts of it are not suited to rental homes so can't really be of much help to you .

Stingray,
Dont know if this is the villa company or not.

If it is ,then their office is on the Orange Blossom Trail and it looks like they have villas at Sunset Lakes which is on the 192 Disney/Splendid China area and the other is called Meadow Woods Homes, this one seems to be a bit out of the way though, near to their office but off the Florida Turnpike.

There is a bit of a map on the website.

That might explain it then, maybe you're being directed to their office on OBT and you'll be allocated a home in Kissimmee which sounds right.

I'd just give them a call to explain things further.
