when I was a kid, I used to do a alot of riding and the kids would love to go to Horseworld while we are in florida at the end of the year.
Sadly, as time has not been kind to me, I have put on a fair bit of weight.
Now I wouldn't like to book up and go just to get there and the horse takes one look at me and galllops off screaming No Way lardy A***e!!!.
I have looked on their website and can't seem to find out about weight restrictions.
I'm ashamed to admit that I now weigh around the 200 lbs mark
:(
Anyone out there that can help with my question?

My daughter went riding there a few weeks ago. I noticed that the weight restriction was 250 lbs. You should be okay. Its a nice place you will enjoy it.

Thanks HJW, as long as I don't put 50lbs on by Xmas, looks like I'll be able to go and give a horse a hernia!!!
I'm really going to try and get some weight off by the time we go anyway, need to make some room for Dole Whips and Krispy Kremes!!!:D
Maybe I should go riding at the beginning of the holiday and not the end whereas I could be considerably heavier:wink

If you're phoning to book you could always emphasis that you'll need something with plenty of bone and well 'up to weight'. Riding is on my 'to do list' for next time :)
She never to0ld me that?

Just make sure you use a mounting block as you can do untold damage to a saddle tree by struggling to mount. And believe me saddles arent cheap, the most recent one I bought was a second hand one for my son and it was £270
