We are thinking of having our free breakfast at AK, and we are going to AK on our first full day.
Has anybody had breakfast at AK? What sort of food do they serve?
Is it a good idea to do this on the first day or should we wait?
Thanks in advance for the help

We had ours at Animal Kingdom. It's buffet style, bacon, scrambled egg, muffins like you would find at the Ponderosa and the characters come round and spend time with each table. We had Mickey, Goofey, Donald Duck all posed for photographs with the children. The cast members came round first and made sure every child was seen and called them by their names. Really good but I didn't like the breakfast very much.
Its a bit of an early start for your first day though.

Having stayed at the lodge in Jan we have eaten breakfast there at Boma's. Its is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone. We popped in on our last holiday and fell in love with the place and had to go there for our next holiday.
Food is buffet style with traditional (pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, bakery items, fruit etc) and african items (loved the sausage bobbity, cant remember the names but there were several dishes to try).
Do it, you'll love it. Whilst there have a wander round the lobby area and take it all in. My favourite resort to date.

D'oh I am stupid.
Sorry Sue I am rabbiting on about the Animal Kingdom Lodge and you are asking about the Animal kingdom Park. Crossed wires I'm afraid.
We did to the breakfastasaurus as well, as Jamie says its early but then AK is a park that getting early to is a bonus.
Apologies for the mix up, but if you do get the chance nip to the lodge as well for a meal, a real treat.

We did the Breakfastasuarus last time and will be doing it again this year (I have to do my PS on Sunday 25th for 90 days before!!!):D
There is cereal (variety boxes), and the usual buffet fare, plus breakfast pizza which my eldest PS liked, plus lots of pastries and muffins, copious amounts of orange juice or tea/coffee.
The characters are herded round in safari gear, Donald is the guest of honour. It does seem a little rushed, but you get lost of opportunities for photos.
I thought it was reasonably priced, but will be doing it with the 10-day ticket voucher this time.
Oh yeah, DON'T do Primeaval Whirl after all the brekkie!!!!!!!!:wink :D

We will have to arrange a meeting point before we go and we can say hello.:jump:

What a coincidence, we will have a AK brekkie meet then, it was our baptism of fire when we first went in 2002 - AK is so lovely that it is the best (IMHO) to start you off with the "magic".
Will PM you nearer the time to make some arrangements!!!:wink
