Had a letter from Virgin today stating:
'The (renovation) work taking place to the exterior of the building will include cleaning and painting, and although scaffolding will be visable on either side of the tower, all work will be completed by hand, therefore no noise disruption is anticipated. The competion date for this part of the renovation will be the middle of July.
In addidion to this, the hotel will be closing off each floor at a time whilst they clean, paint & update the exterior soft furnishings. Again, with the hotels assurances, we anticipate little disruption to guests. These renovations are expected to be taking place from the middle of July to the end of August.
The hours of work will be from 9am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays from 10pm to 6pm. The hotel have assured us that they will do all possible to allocate Virgin Holidays clients away from the renovation works take place.'
Lets see shall we?
