OK, I've been using this site to gather info, generally just looking at other peoples posts. Anyway, I have got a plan of our trip, just hope the family toes the line. DH is a bit rebellious! He thinks I've gone nuts.

Tried to fit everything in without exhausting everyone. I think we will take it easy in the parks and won't worry if we cant do everything. We are not planning to dash around trying to do all the rides, if we have to que then we'll que!
We havent planned our meals, I think that might be a plan to much for DH.
We left out Busch Gardens, I thought we might have had enough of theme parks by the time we got to the beach. We also left out Discovery Cove as DS is too young for Dolphin swim and I didn't want him to feel left out.
I hope it will be the holiday of a lifetime (I don't think I can afford another one!) or I'll have to get a full time job to go again.

Hi Byrne-family,

I notice that no-one has commented on your itinerary.
This may be because it is not clear which days you are going to the parks. Does 01 mean the 1st June or just day one of your holiday?

Good Luck!

I am sure that with plenty of discipline, nagging, and pre-bed time preparation it will work.

The family will probably just fall into automatic pilot after Day 3 anyway! It looks very doable to me.

Hi, thanks for the replies. Yes 01 means 1st of june, I'm not very good at this sort of thing it's all relatively new to me. I hope everyone will go along with the plan, it's taken me long enough to work it out. Even my DD's think I'm mad and keep telling me not to get excited! I'm a bit worried about the weather, but it's too late now anyway.

Hi Fiona,

We are going to be out there at the same time as you and have also time-tabled MK for the Friday. Maybe you'll spot us (DD age 6, white blonde hair; DS age 8, never stops hopping, jumping and nagging!)

Do you know much about the 'Gay Day at MK' on the Saturday? I believe that all the parks could be quite busy around this week-end as this is a big affair.

Also have worries about the weather however we were out there last year for the last week of May, first week of June and it only rained once, very briefly in the morning. The rest of the time it was very hot and humid. Hopefully we will be as lucky this year.

Sarah

PS cant recommend enough doing early starts and returning to the villa after lunch or for lunch for swim and rest before returning to parks in evening. We found it got incredibly and unbearably hot at about 2 in the afternoon and the crowds were daft.

Hi sarah,
I read about gay day after I had booked, but to be honest I'm not really bothered. Although I did explain to the girls because I thought they might notice! We've planned to go to AK that day so hopefully it wont be so crowded.
Where do you stay? I have been told by someonelse on the dibb that Lindfields is near enough to go back and relax, although I'm a bit worried that if we do that we won't go out again.
Just wondered if you have your pool heated? our villa has a spa attached to the pool do you think we will need pool heat?
Thanks for the advice

I've highlighted three points (above) from your original message.

First point, regarding DH - I have EXACTLY the same problem with my family and DH so I can empathise!

Second point - tell DH he's not actually allowed to eat the fish at SeaWorld (:D).

Third point, this will be our first trip too and our "holiday of a lifetime", but it's funny that however many times I have said this, I will get several people saying that after we have been we will do ANYTHING to get to go back again!

I know what you mean.

We went on our 'holiday of a lifetime' this time last year and.............strangely enough...............we're going back again (hopefully to have another 'holiday of a lifetime'!!).

Fiona, regarding the pool heating.....we didn't pay to heat our pool last year and I dont remember it being a problem at all. The kids and DH spent so much time in it that it cant have been that bad. However we didn't have a spa thing and I'm not sure how that would affect the temperature.

Hi...I have gone for pool heating but we are going at Easter and our pool is shaded, but I would think in June it will not be required and it will probably be refreshing after the heat of the parks. Incidentally, if you find it is too cold you can always speak to the management company and they will put it on for you when you are out there.
Your itinery sounds fab....we plan to do the ICS aswell so don't forget let us know all about it.
