We have followed the instructions from our internet provider and have managed to connect both my PC and my son's laptop by setting up our own home network but we can't get a connection on his PS3 even though we have followed instructions. It's saying he is connected and then it comes up with an error and failed.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did you cure it.

Help please.

Is your internet/network secure? If so you will have to put your password in to enable it.

set it up with an ethernet cable first connected to your router, as someone has said if you have security enabled on your network (wep Key ) you will need to enter this in ps3 settings

may also need to change ps3 to use wireless network

Still having problems getting on-line. Error code 80710092 keeps coming up "information exchange timed out".

Have tried the solutions suggested but it won't have none of it!! Getting a major headache now.

Thanks, have tried this and still not working. I think we'll have to set up router again and change the security settings on the network.

DH says try moving the ps3 closer to the router to see if it is the router signal strength, hth :)
