Looks good but I can't ever quite get my head round all these carefully thought out plans.

I live my life to a diary and a schedule. Most of my day at work is mapped out and then disrupted by calls to go to courts or police stations.

I think there is a lot to be said for just getting over there and seeing how you feel. Last year we had a rough plan before we went which included doing both Disney and Universal. However, within a few days it had fallen apart and we ended up just doing Disney.

The reason it fell apart was that we took it easy for the first few days and just relaxed into the holiday. Then, when we started doing the Parks (with the VERY early starts) we decided that we would get more out of it if we took a clear rest day by the pool between them. Thus Universal was abandoned and we started saving to go back this year and do the next instalment.

Maybe it is just us, but I think that a holiday has to have a lot of relaxation built in and a certain amount of "go with the flow". It's good fun to plan, but remember that your holiday is the one time of year when you can do whatever the heck you want!

All that having been said, I'm sure that you will have great time. I don't believe that there can be anywhere better than Orlando to kick back and enjoy life.

Plans!!!!!I very carefully constructed our plan for Disney for this July and proudly offered it to DH for his congratulations on how organised abd wonderful it all was!! He refused to look saying he wanted to pretend we didnt have a plan and each day could i just say"lets go to AK or MK or whatever and pretend it was a spur of the moment thing!! regardless of how long it had beeen planned or of the PS.
He said I live each day by my diary and want to at least PRETEND to be spontaneous on holiday.
So Dibbers my plans are between us only.

Poet - you must have a battle plan!! The spontanaity (sp) will be the plan of attack for the rides etc - obviously he's not in the planning mood!! LoL
I had a sit-round- the -table meeting with my family on Monday night & they were more than pleased to see a plan - at least it gives them an idea of what we intend to do as a family.

Lesley - plan looks good. A memorable end - possibly check out for a shuttle launch in the early hours of Friday 30th - approx 2amk if I'm not mistaken!!

I thought your plan looked pretty good:) We're going at exactly the same time as you so Earthbound can you tell me where I could confirm about the shuttle launch, cause I know DH, DS and nephew would love to see that.
Ulsterscot, I know where you're coming from re planning etc, I too temd to "plan" my home/work life but I want some sort of agreement from us all as to what we want to see and how we best work it out so we get to see/do as much as possible (along with the rest time built in!!) But I don't want us going thinking its all got to be set in stone, so I liked Earthbound's idea of the sponteity(sp!!!!!) being how we "do" the parks once weare in!!

Following on from EarthBound's info.

I have previously phoned KSC. And they confirmed the following.

"They may open the KSC center for the launch but this won't be confirmed until approx 1 week before the shuttle launch."

If they don't then it's just a case of driving to a suitable spot perhaps on the Cocoa beech and watch the launch. That is if your not to tired 2am Gulp !!!!
