Susan,
Here is the official State Park website for Honeymoon Island (http://www.floridastateparks.org/honeymoonisland/default.asp). Hope this helps.

Honeymoon Island is at the end of Dunedin Causeway, just north of Clearwater. It's a nice place for a day visit, for shelling, bird watching, finding fossilized coral, etc. It has several nature trails, but the island itself is not very built up and I don't think there are any hotels on it. There are some Condo's at the entrance, If I remember correctly.

Here is some information:

The town of Dunedin is a nice place to visit, with a lot of little shops and restaurants on Main Street, which is like a pedestrian mall. There is also a micro brewery and an Irish pub. It has a Scottish history and a pipe and drum corps. Even the high school band has bagpipers! The've just had their highland games, which is an annual event. It is the sister city of Stirling, Scotland.
