can i walk to the 192 from any villas????

hi we are looking for a villa/community along the 192 that we could walk to access buses :confused2 we need to have a private pool too

Our villa on Emerald Island - I would say is a little far off the 192 to walk it and I wouldn't walk it, tho I know my cousin's boys have. But I'm sure someone else will be along soon to advise you of any communities that are closer.

We have walked from Oak Island to the 192, it's about 20-25 minutes though, ok in the evening but not very comfortable in the heat.

There are very few pavements in the US and it is not really the done thing to be walking unless you are around the hotel areas.
The lighting in a lot of places is very sparse as well so at night it could be difficult to see you.
Best bet is have a car and a designated driver and have a few drinks in the fridge at the villa to sip while relaxing out on the Lanai on a warm florida evening or better still in a lovely Spa.

You can walk to the 192 from Bellavida - it's about 1 minute away.

The 192 is a very long road, so it might help narrowing down whereabouts on the 192 you'd like to be.

If you're thinking of walking this daily I think you'll find it very difficult and tiring. As OP says there are few pavements until you reach the 192 and some of the roads are very dark.

i wouldn't suggest it myself, have seen some walk uo from windsor hills to outback etc but they just don;t look safe as no sidewalks/paths and not so good on way back when dark either (or after a beer or two)

We would not recommend walking. Also the 192 streches all the way from Hwy 27 to the west to way beyond Medieval Times to the east -info at www.kissimmee-us192.com/map/ushwy192mapindex.htm
The closest rental villas to Disney on gated resorts are in the Formosa Gardens area -Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms & Emerlad Island
