Im in a dilemma again and I cannot really make up my mind at all.
Hubby has left it up to me to arrange everything, I dont mind really as I enjoy all the holiday planning!

I had originally booked CPR with WSH travel unfortunately they went by the wayside so I have had to look again.

I have asked questions before but I suppose the decision really comes down to me in the end anyway but I really would like personal opinions.

We will not have a car, there will be 2 adults and 3 kids 14,10 and 5 so a mixed age group.

Enclave gets a very mixed review. Location may be better for a non driver but then again it may be a little to commercial. They provide some shuttle services to some of the parks. They have a 2 bed suite which means someone has to sleep in the living room area on the couch.

Cypress Point Resort has not any bad reviews that I have seen. Looks really really nice in every way. Nice pool and playing area for the younger kids.I can get a 3 bedroom for about 150 euro less than Enclave 2 bedroom so we would have lots of comfortable room(we like our comforts when we are away)

I know it says a short walk from downtown Disney for CPR but a short walk in the heat in not on either

For the money we would save with CPR we may end up paying it and more on a taxi to get us around and yet I'm a little apprehensive about the Enclave. but we could get about more independently at the same time.

I just got my detailed map on Orlando from this site day before yesterday at a quick glance it looks like both places have plenty around them.

can anyone give me advice please, I need to get this sorted

sleeping on sofa beds in the lounge area is sometimes uncomfortable.
cypress pointe looks really nice and you can walk to a few places ,think dtd is too far to walk imho

Stayed in a 3 bedroom at Cypress Pointe in 2005 and it was great, bigger than our house in fact.
There is quite a lot nearby but we had a car so couldn't comment on walking anywhere. Seem to remember that one of the entrances to WDW was just down the road and that DTD was nearby but again couldn't comment on walking there. Sorry
The pool area with the volcano was a great hit with the kids as we often came back for the afternoon to chill out.

We have stayed at a 1 and 2 bedroom condo in Cypress pointe, the 2 bed was a great size, so the three would be even bigger, my vote would go to Cypress pointe

Now, I have stayed at Cypress Pointe and I highly recommend it, but I did not stay there without a car, and I have to say I would not choose to do so.

I am sure people have stayed there without a car and managed; there are restaurants within walking distance and a shuttle to the parks. However I would not personally choose to do so.

It is not what I would call a short walk from Downtown Disney  I would call it a good half hour, though I have only ever driven it this is a guess. I would not want to do it in the heat as there is no shade along the 535 which will form half of your walk.

I hate to be the only one to say this, but I really would look again at the Enclave Suites which are a better option location wise if you have no car.

We have only stayed at CP and I would say it's in a great location, lovely accommodation with all the comforts you need and plenty of space.

I'd add a word of caution about walking to DTD, while it may be fine in the evening I'd not like to do it in the heat of the day. A taxi would be fairly cheap, it's only a few minutes ride.

A 3 bed apartment would have 2 ensuites and a separate full bathroom. There isn't a door between the bedroom and bathroom, the loo is screened off by a wall, but there's no door if you are sensitive about such things.

Another vote for Cypress Pointe. We stayed in a three bedroom and there is plenty of room. Two of the bedrooms have king size beds and 'open plan' ensuites with the toilet behind a screened wall, the third has a seperate bathroom which is accessed from the hallway, so easy for everybody to use. The third bedroom is very small with a single bed and a pull out underneath.

You can easily walk to plenty of restaurants, but we wouldn't have attempted to walk to DTD. It is very central for all the parks and taxis would know all the short cuts. Make sure you use yellow or chequred cabs who all have meters. If you have a look at the mears site, you can get some estimates of taxi fares.

The master bedrooms do have the bathroom directly off the bedroom, no doors! Make sure you know the person you're sharing with very well ;) ;) ;) But there is also a traditional bathroom/toilet off the main living area.

Im having second thoughts now, I want to be able to have 2 separate bedrooms but have more than a twin bed in the second one, either 2 double or 2 queen as I want to kids to be able to share a bed.
I dont want to have to use the sitting room area at all for sleeping in.

There are a few places with this option but I think I need to act fast.

Now Im not asking for much am I?

I stayed at the Enclave Suites Oct 07 and they were fine, have never stayed at Cypress Pointe so can't compare. Although I had a car when I stayed at Enclave I would say that it would be suitable for anyone without a car, it's a couple of minutes walk to I Drive and plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. I would have no hesitation staying there again.

We stayed in phase 2 grande villas and the toilet isn't in the bedrooms. The master ensuite has a whirlpool tub and sink just off from the bedroom and then there's a seperate room with door in the master bedroom that contains a toilet, double shower and sink.
CP is in the process of being refurbished and the refurb ones look very nice!

We have stayed in Cp Phase 2 now twice, Dec 2007 and Oct 2008 and we too wouldn't stay anywhere else. In phase 2, as kalbrad says, the toilet and shower have a door off the masterbedroom, but the jacuzzi bath is just off the bedroom.

A three bedroomed room in phase 2 is a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom together without the lockoff door closed. My Mom, sister, brother and nephew shared this in 2007 and loved it. They had two kitchen areas and separate seating area in the one bedroom one so loads of room.

I wouldn't stay there without a car though, as it's not really near to anything other than the shops at Crossroads.

Great for kids as 3 pools, one of which is unheated, brrrr. Separate kids club too with organised activities, most are just a few dollars for the materials when they make stuff. They also have a kid sitting service one night a week where you can leave the kids for a couple of hours and go and have some adult time/meal out. Have to say we didn't do this, but wouldn't have hesitated to leave my then 6 year old with the staff.

The 50" TV in the lounge was fab and I would say the whole place was really better than we have at home. Fully fitted kitchen with american full size fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier. Wifi was $19.95 for the whole stay too if you take your laptop. With ds in bed around 8pm we didn't have much to do in the evenings other than watch TV so it was great to keep in touch with the parents back home.

Book it!!

we stayed at the enclave in 2006 we had 3 kids with us and found the 2 bed suite fine, the bedrooms are substantial and we had 2 bathrooms, it was our 1st visit so unfortunately had nothing to compare it against, but it was comfortable and clean the maid even loads up the dishwasher for you.
we did have a car but only used it when doing disney, it is in a great location with free breakfast every morning, which consisted of muffins fruit and juice,
we found the suite plenty big enough for us.

I'm booked for the Enclave Oct 09 and can't wait. Guy at work stayed there Nov 08 said he had a great time. Nice and convenient for everything. Clean and tidy, great service.
Really looking forward to it. Last trips stayed at H.I and All Stars so can't compare to CP. There's only 3 of us 1 A + 2 K so should be plenty of room.

God it really is a mixed bag isn't it?

Kevbrydon Your pictures look lovely

I think there is for and against in both of them

The one thing that's putting me off The Enclave is the 2 twin beds in second bedroom, I really dont want anyone to have to take the living room, so if the second bedroom had either 2 double or queen , the two smaller kids could share a bed and the older one could have a bed to herself, that leaves main bedroom for me and himself!...Im not fussy am I

I have got a really great price for a 3 bedroom In Cypress Point (about 100 less than Enclave)so Im kinda swaying towards that one.

We always like to get kids off to bed..even if older ones watch TV and then me and himself relax in front of TV for a while.. thats how we like it anyway plus I get up quite early so I wont be bothering anyone if we have the living room as it is supposed to be and no one asleep there at 7 am when im up plodding around. :)
Its just the no car thats putting me of CPR but looking a the map its not too far from a few things and at least there is Linx buss stop not too far away

Decisions decisions, I have little to be at in the current climate
