We've booked this one, and after exchanging a few e-mails we phoned up and gave our payment details.

We have done this or something very similar. It is really good, but make sure that you have a fan, sun cream and inscet repellent as it gets very hot out there and there are thousands of mossies.

Hope you have fun

Hi,

We are considering going on a trip with Boggy Creek boats.

Any tips? Do kids enjoy these trips, and how many mozzies will there be in August?!

We did Boggy Creek last year in August and didn't have a problem with Mozzies. My DS (11) thought it was fab.

We did an airboat ride down in Everglade City in May last year when we stayed at Sanibel. It was really good, Captain Darryl was brilliant, he even let me 'drive'! The trip was about 1 hour and one of the best things i've done anywhere in the States.

Make sure you go to Wallmart and buy a bulk pack of bug spray first though!

:thumbs-up

Carole, we did this trip in June and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our two children aged 9 and 10 really liked it especially the jungle trek. Michael was our tour leader. Would you believe one girl turned up in 4 inch platform sandals and then complained that she didn't realise we had to walk! We drove down the turnpike from Orlando and stayed at Plantation (staying at La Quinta for about £43 a night through Expedia) and drove to Flamingo Gardens for the pick up. Make sure you take plenty of cold drinks, sun lotion and would just mention the seats on the boat doing the Everglades tour were very hot, so take a towel to sit on and to wrap round your shoulders as it gets very hot out there! Our airboat ride was cancelled as the weather was rather stormy which was a real shame but maybe next time.
