Hay Dibbers,
Just a quick post as DGF and myself are changing our trip a lil bit, we are thinking about staying at the Disneys all stars Movies resort and we would like some honest thoughts! We read some reviews on trip advisor and it seems ok but who better to trust than an army of dibbers!!
Thanks guys!!

We stayed at ASMo in 2005...we had a fab time...the only thing we all commented on was the food in the food court....it was very samey and we got bored of it by the need of the first week...luckily we ate out a lot of the time and only used to food courts for breakfasts and some evening meals!!
everything else I would say was perfect...the rooms, the house keeping, the pools.
As long as you remember you are in a budget resort and not the Grand Floridian then you will be fine!!

We really enjoyed our stay ar ASMo. It's not a luxury resort, facilities are limited, but it is as much Disney as you can get with the themeing from the movies.

We stayed there in july and loved the hotel the only thing we did not like was that there were loads of south american kids on school trip that were running around making lot's of noise at night, that was a few years ago. All they needed to do in my opinion was to put them all in the same block that they would not have bothered anyone.

Just booked to go in June = love this hotel. Stayed at Wilderness Lodge last year which was amazing, but always had a soft spot for this hotel and due to budget constraints are going back to it this year. You'll have a fab time.
We stayed at the Movies and the Sports and loved them both.

We stayed there back in 2005 and found it more than adequate. This was our 1st time on site and if we ever go back we wouldn't hesitate to stay there. One very small gripe was the buses - but we used to walk next door to movies and get a bus from there - but of course that may have changed over the past few years. So long as you remember that it is a value resort then you will be fine - food court sometimes manic and food a little boring, but we only ever had breakfast there - preferring to eat off site or in parks. We had a room in Mighty Ducks and the pool there was a little less manic - rooms were fine and had everything you would need. Have a great holiday.
Have you thought about staying at Pop Century?
Its the same type of accomoadation, same price bracket and IMHO is better that All Star resorts.

I agree have stayed in the POP and and All Stars and I preferred the POP. However, that said they do have the feel of Butlins about them. We had a bit of a nightmare at AS with people running up and down the balconies at all times of night, I found it very noisy. The POP was much quieter but maybe that was because we were in the last building.
That said if they were my only option or stay off site I would go back to the POP.
DGF and I stayed at ASMo in 2004 and we loved it, the theming is superb, you can not get a more Disney immersive experience.

we have stayed at POfq , ASmo and then POP
in that order
i loved ASmo and POP, i prefered ASmo the most to be honest, its just so fun, the only downside is that sometimes the AS resorts share the same bus and it can be busy, which is not a problem that POP suffers from

We have stayed at Movies and Music previously and they were fine. On the last 2 occassions we went to the Carribbean beach - beautiful resort . This year my children have actually asked to go back to All Stars because they have more fun there (there is no pleasing some people !)

We thought it was lovely. The only thing was the food in the foodcourt. Wasn't impressed. Seemed to be all brown food. Other than that it was grand.

We loved ASMO! We were very pleasantly surprised with the rooms, the theming is fantastic and we thought the foodcourt was really good! :wavey:

I have stayed at ASM and Carribean Beach. I thought the rooms in the two resorts were exactly the same. CBR and a better food court but that was the only difference xxx
Hi I have stayed at both movies and sports and like them both, I personally think that the sports is the less busy of the two and if I remember correctly the movies has its own buses and the sports shares its bus with music
