Recently returned from a week in Alligator Bayou, Port Orleans.
Very comfortable, pool right outside our door.
Nightly entertainment in bar was great fun if you like audience participation.
Food hall a bit crowded in morning but good value.
Made good use of refillable cups, well worth buying.
Very handy for Downtown Disney, lovely boat ride but use priority booking for restaurants unless you want to eat MacDonalds.
We loved the peace and quiet of the walk back to our room late at night and the heavenly scents that came from the jasmine etc.
A restful haven after hectic days in the park.

Dee, I am due to stay at POR from the 19th of June, I am glad to see that you had a good time, I have heard a lot of good reports from this resort.
How did you find the Disney bus service to and from the parks?

Dee,

We have stayed at French Quarter twice and really enjoyed both times. Once was when all the Magnolias were out (just looks divine) but both times we were struck by the brilliant theming, one of the best Resorts for theming. Our only complaint for French Quarter is that there is just the one (crowded and noisy) Pool - it could really do with an extra quiet Pool or two, although sitting by the River is very peaceful. However, Riverside has the additional Pools so I guess you had it all!

Tim - you will love it there!

Port Orleans (French Quarter and Riverside) is my favourite.
Tim - never had a problem with the bus service, plus you can get the boat to DownTown Disney.
