Everytime I see this hotel I always say I will stay there when I win the lottery. I have just been on the Disney web site to find out how much it would be to stay there for just one night in October because I have yet to win the lottery. I was given a ridiculous price of just short of $600. Does anyone on here know of a cheaper way or do I just have to keep dreaming? Thank you.

They may offer it on discount if you hold and Annual Pass. But rates for October look as if they wont be out til late June early July and then its may not be included.

I looked into it when we were originally planning to travel in November. 3 nights came in at $295 per night (booked through a Disney specialist on another site). I was also told this price may go down as new codes came out (I was planning an AP). Now we have changed our plans to Christmas, the price has doubled, so we wont be doing it this time!

I am looking at the price for October and like Claire states the AP rates may reduce the price....but at the current time the AP rates are only reducing the deluxes by $85 per night. They have been discounts of up to 40% on the deluxes so $85 is a bit low for a discount....just have to wait and see!!

I managed to get the Grand Floridian just over $300 for our night there in March, that was with AP rates.

October is a higher priced season, if you stay on till November then the rates drop to their lowest on 31 October - when we travel in October we are off site for that first week and are moving onsite in November (but we still can't afford the Grand Floridian)

Here are rack rates from Mousesavers - they aren't cheap, but they aren't as high as you quoted - all of October is Regular season, so the 2nd figure on each list -

I wonder did you get a quote for a package including tickets, I have had the Disney website add tickets on before even though I didn't want them.[
Grand Floridian Resort (add 11.5% tax)

Another tip. Disney offer AAA rates (American Automobile Association) as do many hotels throughout the US. It's useful to remember that the AAA and our AA have an agreement and production of an AA card will entitle you to the AAA discount in the US.

The only problem with the Grand Floridian is that after you've stayed just the once you want to keep staying. We stayed there for 1 night 11th November last year for our wedding I think it came to just over $400 (booked via expedia or travelocity or something similar!). We use to travel to the MK and say one day we'll stay there, at least now I can say I did, only one night but now I want more! only a lottery win will make that happen!
