We stayed at Fantasy World Villas - who have two 'jacuzzis' beside their pools - we chose it 'specially as we have one at home, and would really miss it for a fortnight.

We both thought they were very hot - far hotter than ours at home (which we normally run at 39 degrees C in the winter, currently at 37) at 106f it converts to 41+ degrees C - and ever since we came back, I've been unable to use our pool without coming out in an incredibly itchy rash on my shins (and a few other places :( ) 41 degrees is hotter than the safety systems on our tub will allow it to go...............

It's something in the cleaning system not the heat I suspect. A friend has the same problem. Like you she has one at home-as soon as she had it put in she got the red itchy rash having *never* had a problem in any of the many hotels she'd used them in before or indeed the one she had in her previous house. Turns out there are two different cleaning systems using two different chemicals and she has the misfortune to have the "wrong" one. I don't remeber the active chemical but if you need to know I'll email her and ask her. Sadly the hot tubs at the Beach Club use the same chemical so when we stayed there she was very envious of my nightly reviving soak (I had no problems)

Ahah! You mean Bromide and Chlorine........ Has switching solved the problem? I was told it was inlikely to be that, and more likely to be simply the heat (I was fine when it was first put in - ie before we went to the States......)
