We are staying in a villa on our trip next easter, but I have noticed a number of Dibbers book the odd night in the Universal hotels as a means of getting to the front of the queue on the rides. So what I would like advice on is:

1. is this worth doing?
2. Which is the best hotel?
3. which is the cheapest?
4. does the Front of queue thing only cover the day you get there, or can you use it on a second day, even after checking out and putting your stuff in the car.
5. Any other tips re. this idea gratefully received.

Thanks!

1. Absolutely!!
2. I've only stayed at the Royal Pacific but the hotels all have good reputations.
3. Royal Pacific is the cheapest
4. You get Front of Line Access on your check-out day also.
5. You'll get better room rates using Fan Club, Entertainment Club or Annual Passholder discounts if you qualify for any of these. You get Fan Club membership with an annual membership to the Dibb. The Entertainment Book/Card can be purchased online.

Does anyone know if they charge per room like disney,or per person ,because when i've been getting quotes off their website, they charge me and my eldest son each as opposed to disney ,which only charge us for the room!

They charge per room, we have done this a few times and find it great for FOL.

Hi bob and dawn ,thanks for that, so for example if a get a room rate for 160.00 it is for the room,as on the internet it doubles ,is there website a bit dodgy lol!Do you ring them or do it over the net?

Not sure what the problem is here as we have booked over the internet a few times. Are you sure you haven't mixed up the boxes for how many rooms and how many people?

If the room price was 160.00 the only extra to go on that would be tax.

Does anyone know if the rooms are 4 bedders in the Royal Pacific...I would still need 2 rooms as we are a party of 6! Thanks!

They do not have any availability for the 19/6 for the RPR or Hard Rock.
The 27th is coming up at $249 per room for the Hard Rock only.

You could try phoning them as not a lot is coming up on the site.

The standard rooms have 2 twin beds, with a "rollaway" bed available in some for a 5th person but it would be pretty congested with 5. There are also some rooms with a king size bed instead of 2 twins.

Just been checking out some reservation sites and the Loews hotel site and there seems to be no availability at all for this hotel during my trip dates next Easter....oh well, back of the queue it is!:(
