hi we are also staying at a fellow dibbers villa at highgrove in june/july. I have copied this info from their website for you.
High Grove Resort situated on Highway 27 just by the intersection of the US192. Only a five minute drive from Interstate 4, the main East West freeway which goes between the Atlantic coast (Daytona, Kennedy Space Center) and the Gulf coast (Tampa, Clearwater)
Disney is only six minutes away at mile marker 6 of the US192 also known as the Irlo Bronson Highway. High Grove sits at the start of the US192 at mile marker zero.
Orlando International airport (MCO) is 35 minutes away
with Sanford (SFB) and Tampa (TPA) International airports only 55 minutes from the villa. This gives guest great options when booking flights. Miami (MIA) is about a three and a half hour drive.
There are many shops and restaurants just outside the gates of High Grove. You can walk to Devenney’s Irish pub and restaurant within 2 minutes from the front door of Heron Villa. Walmart, Publix and the restaurants and shops of Cagans Crossings are only a 2 minute drive or you can walk to them along the paved sidewalks within five or six minutes.Heron Villa is on High Grove Resort situated on Highway 27 just by the intersection of the US192. Only a five minute drive from Interstate 4, the main East West freeway which goes between the Atlantic coast (Daytona, Kennedy Space Center) and the Gulf coast (Tampa, Clearwater)
For golfers there are many fantastic courses within a 15 minute drive (By car not a 3 wood !!!).
Hope this helps. :wavey:

Hello,
We stayed at High grove 2 years ago, the villas are lovely. There are several restaurants close by (mainly fast food places) and a large Walmart, we were staying slightly further down highway 27 last year at Highlands Reserve but we drove past High Grove plenty of times, there appeared to have been a new town centre developed which looked to have a few restaurants. I dont think I woudl advise anyone to walk to the restaurants as I seem to remember there are no paths and the road is poorly lit (you will also have to walk past a 'gentlemens club' if you were to walk to the local ammenities.
Just down the road at Berry town centre (approx 5 mins in car) is an Applebees which we used a couple of times during our recent stay.
What I would recommend doing is stopping of for something to eat at Formosa Gardens on your way home from the parks, depending on traffic (there are a lot of traffic lights along the 192) it can take 15 to 20 mins to get to the Disney parks. You can also use the Sherberth Road entry into Disney (especially Animal Kingdom).
Highlands Reserve which is only around 5 mins drive from High Grove is built around a golf course, sorry but Im not sure about fees or whether you need to be a member. A quick google should be able to help.
Hope this is useful.

Chilis is just across the road (near Lowes/Walmart) and it was great that instead of one of us having to stay teetotal, we both could have a drink.
You will also find - MacDonalds; Burger King; Taco Bells; Long John Silvers; KFC; Randys; Fresh Fruit (Freshly squeezed Orange juice, beautiful and leaves supermarket Orange Juice standing); Irish Pub (at the entrance of High Grove); Chilis (Near Walmart/Lowes) and Starbucks coffee. Also a couple of minutes walk away is an Italian Pizza (home delivery too) and Wendys.
In Town Centre at Cagan Crossing you will find:
Sabor Tropical Restaurant; Rolling Dough Bake Shop; Gators Dockside Pub; Simbas Swees (Ice Cream Parlour); Pepperoni Pizza Place, China 2 (home Delivery too); Ricky Ritos (opening soon); Health Food shop; Sherlocks Coffee house.
There is also a restaurant opening close by the new Upmarket Sweetbay supermarket soon at the Entrance to Glenbrook Resort but we havent heard what one it is, just as soon as I find out I will let you know.
It seems that everytime we go to our home that there are new restaurants all the time.
