"Cyprus Gardens" still around?

I went there in ... 1981!!! They did a great water-skiing show and the ladies dressed in costume wondering around were lovely!!

Maybe its a bit too "old hat" for people nowadays tho?

It went into receivership earlier however Govenor Bush has been persuaded to put together a rescue package (strange in an election year) and they are hoping to reopen in July/August

Plans for the new Cypress Gardens Adventure Park were unveiled in April but apparently they are so extensive that the revamped park won't be ready for opening until July or August at the earliest, and more likely not until October!

Zoe - all depends on where you look!! I've seen some sites mention that the park was supposed to re-open in May, some say summer (July/August) but the more optimistic predict October!!

we went in 2001 and we really enjoyed it - I hope it will be open again in October ,it made a nice change from the big parks
