Hey,

Nine days 'till our holiday... frantically looking on the 'Net and putting together our *final* plan!

We have decided to visit Clearwater beach this year.....

I have been looking at various websites about the beach... and have come across two really interesting attractions:

The Sea Screamer and..
The Dolphin Encounter Cruise

My bf is all for the Sea Screamer but i really want to do the latter... lol. Has anyone done either of these!?

Opinions on either would be great... anyone know if its possible for us to do both in one day? That would solve a lot of probs... lol. Are the tickets booths / setting off points near each other?!

Also, any suggestions as to where i can find a GOOD Clearwater Beach map would be good.. can't seem to find a decent one anywhere!

Thanks guys!

Beleive seasceamer runs 4 times a day 10, 12, 2 and 4pm and lasts 1 hour so you should easily be able to manage both if you plan ahead!!!!!

We were really disapointed with the Dolphin Experience in Feb we were unlucky and didn't see any dolphins. I have spoken to friends who were told that the dolphins also follow the Screamer boat as well.

Yes its possible to do the two...they are both moored fairly close to each other in the marina....

there is also a few other cruises such as the pirates ship and shell gathering outing etc..

We are going to do the Screamer in September. It will be the first time we have ever been to Clearwater. Is the marina easy to find and is parking easy?

We're taking some family members as a surprise and it will spoil things if we are driving around for hours looking for somewhere to park. We could really do with some red hot directions if anyone can help us out!

The marina is easy to find and there is a car park close by. I did read in a thread a little while ago that you can get a coupon book in one of the car parks that gives you a couple of $$ off the ticket price.

We got some fabulous piccies of the dolphins on our last trip there. The captain had us all move to the back of the boat to make it lower in the water and in turn this made a bigger wake. The dolphins just love to play at jumping over the waves and it will give you fantastic photo opportunities. There were a couple of babies there and we got piccies of them leaping over the waves with mum alongside. That was also in September BTW.

The marina is practically the first thing you see as you come of the long causeway from downtown clearwater. As you come off the causeway you come to a round a bout, the marina is directly onto your left.PLEASE make sure you are legally parked.Thy are very very hot on towing illeagally parked vehicles. Also make sure ur meter is well topped up.you WILL get a ticket if its not.Clearwaterbeach is a relatively small plot of land and car parking is at a premium, when we were ther in July long ques had developed for the public carparks beside the beach by early afternoon,so best to arrive morning if at all possible.

The sea screamer will be the first boat you see in the Marina as it occupies the corner berth,

we did the seascreamer trip on july 21st it was brilliant!!!!!!!!! loads of dolphins including a baby one so cute. A couple of tips take a towel the seats are so hot!!!and take your own water and/or a cool box. The car park is right opposite the marina. Visit pier 60? right opposite the marina for a great view of the beach and the pelicans it costs 50c to get to the end of it but the view is great. We ate at crabby bills by the marina, an odd place from the outside but the views of the harbour and the food are wonderful.

What about the pirate cruise!!!! You could be a kid again - and they fire the cannons at sea. As to maps you can get a really good one for free from the tourist information office.
