View Full Version : Do you trust the height restrictions?

I know this may seem a daft question but my children are eating all their brocolli in the hope that they will make the height restrictions. It looks like the eldest will be ok and the youngest isn't far off but they seem so small to me. Will they be safe on the rides if they just make it?

Sorry to seem a worrier but there has been a spate of nasty accidents over here and I would hate for anything awful to happen if the ride just happened to get stuck.

p.s. I am not normally this morbid.:D

They do have measuring sticks at the entrance to each ride!!! Make sure they have high heels on!! :thumb:
They'll be fine!!! :thumbs-up

Personally there is no way I would "cheat" to get mine on the rides for obvious safety reasons. If they are legitimately tall enough they will be fine. My DD did her first inverted coaster at the age of 5 as she was tall enough - must admit I was panic struck watching though!

They will be ok if they just make the height.
my dd only just made the height for the big rollercoasters like Kraken
she looked so small when sat back in the seat see attached image

What a lovly picture. I see what you mean. I won't be tempted to cheat but I think they will both get on most things. Eldest DD is sensible but youngest is a real daredevil and would try and go round with her hands in the air (gets it from her dad) so will be making sure she is big enough before I let her loose. As long as she reaches the sign she should be ok then.

I'm sure that there is a very large margin of safety on the height requirement, so if your kids "only just" make it I'm certain that there won't be any problems with them slipping out of safety harnesses. I wouldn't recommend bending the rules too much to get shorter kids above the height requirement - obviously safety should come first, but if you or your kids manage to get around the height limit you absolve the park of any liability for an accident.
