Good Natured Abuse For Wearing Disney Clothes In US or IOA

Has this happened to you too, we first noticed this on our last trip as we had brought less clothes than usual so were wearing new Disney stuff that we had just got from WDW.

It started at Security when they saw that Mrs Taz was wearing a Mickey Mouse shaped backpack, they took it off her, made her stand against the wall and said "don't move", when through it with a fine toothcomb talked betwwen themselves about wether they'd let her in with the bag or not, and maybe confiscate it.

Later on in park, on of the staff came up and said "I see you have that rat on your back" :D

Met the Grinch and he made some disparacing remarks Mickey as well :)

Leaving the park, the same guards spotted us leaving and said "don't come back, we don't like your kind here"

We thought it was hilarious and are going to wear as much Mickey stuff as we can in September just to annoy them more :)

It was the opposite for me in 2000 I had a US t shirt on and was waiting in line to enter Typhoon Lagoon and the CM really took the mick out of me and said how dare I go there with that t-shirt on. He did say it all nicely though.

Yes we had this at US when we were waiting to go in as we were all wearing AK ponchos (it was drizzling on and off). The guy kept making comments and pulling up the back over DD's head to hide the logo. He told me it was a good thing that I was sitting in a wheelchair because it meant the back with the logo on was hidden. He did it all very nicely and the whole queue were in stitches at him. It did have a good side as well because at opening time he pulled us to the front of the queue and put us through first "so that he wouldn't have to look at the terrible things anymore".

We had this at Busch Gardens 4 or 5 years ago, also a friends son was wearing a warner bros cap at MK once and the CM took it off him and turned it inside out before putting it back on him. We didnt realise why until later on.

Back in 2000, we went to Toontown Fair, and Donald Duck was disgusted that DS Dan was wearing a Mickey Cap, he was making gestures that said more or less that Mickey was rubbish! ;)

We also saw Timon outside the entrance to MGM, and he pointed to Sam's Lion King t-shirt and laughed.

Don't you just love the Disney Magic? :D

Had it at US last christmas, Shrek refused to have his photo taken with DW because she had a disney T shirt on:D

We were in waiting to go into US one morning before the park opened and STU was wearing a Disney T-shirt.... 2 CM's pulled him out of the queue and gave him a right telling off:blush:
It was so funny and the lines of people cracked up laughing...:D

Dh had his Universal horror nights t-shirt on in Disneyquest. Boy, did he get his leg pulled :D

At Universal my wife was pulled to one side and a bloke started rubbing her hat...said she had some "Pooh" on it....

When I first went in 1997, When I was only eight, I was into getting character autographs, and I had a Universal autograph book, and The Queen of Hearts had a go at me, and The Sheriff (From Robin Hood) said he would arrest me because of the Autograph book.

last year we were about to go on to water ride at seaworld when the operator noticed our disney ponchos, "hey guys you can not go on with those" he said and promptly pointed towards a shop where we could buy seaworld ones or we would have to get wet, it was both funny and slightly embarrasing, he grinned and let us on.

On our first trip DD was 4. We'd bought her a legionaires hat with Tweety Pie on the front. We were at Epcot when a CM came up to us and said (in a really nice way) "We can't have that here" and stuck a Mickey sticker over Tweety.

DD was getting aoutograph from Shaggy and Scooby in US and forgot to get her (mickey) pen back from Shaggy...he came running after her shouting..you forgot the rat pen!!! DS thought this was hilarious (though we did have to explain it to DS(6)
