Star Wars Weekend 2005

Hi Dibbers,

We had a FANTASTIC time on our recent first ever visit to WDW. However we discovered that the 2004 Star Wars weekend started the day after we returned home:cry: ! We were gutted as we are all massive Star Wars fans.

Hopefully we are going back next year and was wondering if anyone knows when the 2005 Star Wars Weekend will be taking place??? The third and final Star Wars film is released in the US in May so maybe the weekend will co-inside with this????

Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dibbers.

They don't normally start until around 15th May and the dates are not normally finalised until the beginning of the year unfortunately.

We will hopfully be there for some of the star wars week end we fly out on 28th May 2005 wondering on how we get next years dates up

They usually coincide with memorial weekend, which is th e last weekend of the month, and runs for 2 weekends from what I can remember, we caught it last year, and this years dates werent that much different to last years.

ALthough we were there We missed the Star Wars weekend as we were at other parks, but some of the Characters do make an appearance in the stars N cars Parade each day.

Hi there

I have never been to a Star Wars Weekend before, but was hoping to see it in May 2005. According to other websites I have visited the SWW have not been on when there has been the release of a new film, so as Star Wars Ep.3 is due out next May there is a good chance the SWW won't be on. I will be really disappointed if this is true as I was hoping for a photo with Jedi Mickey.

Thanks to all for your help and replies,
I have spoken to a few Star Wars maniacs and they seem to agree with Mandymouse i.e. no SWW when there is a movie release:( This seems such a shame but I am told to expect a SWW in 2006:D If this is so, roll on 2006!!!!!!! Thanks again to all and any further confirmation and/or info on SWW will still be greatly welcomed.
