Both my partner and I are wuss's and we usually only go rides which we can go on as a family and as my boys are 3 and 4 we've got away with being totally pathetic so far. This year I want to try and go on some rather more adult type rides but as we'll not be able to go on together (not sure he would anyway) I want to have an idea of what to expect. I'm not planning on doing any of the roller coasters but I wonder if anybody could give me an idea of what happens on the Spiderman ride. Everybody says its brilliant - but what happens and what type of ride is it?
Thanks
Alison

Spiderman is an indoor simulator ride, that also moves on tracks.
I think that you wear 3D glasses and I remember Spider Man jumping on the front of the car that you are riding in, through the city.
I do remember that it is brilliant, you should not miss this.:jump:
The car also flies I think, I just remember a great fall and Spider Man saving you with his web. It's actually feels like it is happening.
Some people say that it’s the best ride in the world, it’s defiantly up there. It’s like a cross between a simulator and a 3-D adventure. Most of it is Psychological as you don’t actually move that far but the ride ends with the feeling that you are falling off a building. However there is no going upside down its just very cleverly done, when I have been on it I can’t work out how its done. I can’t recommend it enough.

Sorry I'll re-phrase that. The car doesn't actually fly, just feels like it.

Possibly the best ride at IoA! It is almost worth paying the entrance fee just to ride this one ride. As has been said, you do not travel very far, it just feels like you do. Last time I was there even my sister(mid 30's) and my Mam(late 50's), who dont go on any roller coasters, went on it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I even managed to persuade my Mam to go on Tower of Terror and she enjoyed that so much we walked back round to the entrance and did the ride again!

you will be alright on the spiderman ride because DF goes on this ride and he loves it, you would never catch him on any of the rollercoaster rides.

I am one of the biggest whimps going, but I love Spider man, On the bit where it seems to go up in the air and then come down, I always shut my eyes.

Rode Spiderman twice again last week and it is still THE best ride in the world. Even the brilliant new Mummy ride at Universal doesnt knock it from the No1 spot in my opinion. My mum has ridden this and she loves it, even though she has unstable angina and major neck and back problems!!:jump: :jump:
