Seriously tempted to go for a 2 bed DVC villa with the current offer on Disney uk for next October including free dining! We were considering AKL but for £200 more we could have so much more space in a 2 bed villa plus cooking and laundry facilities.
I don't know much about these resorts, can you lovely Dibbers tell me which you prefer and why?
:wavey:
Many thanks
Michelle

If you do a search there was quite a big thread on the differences between the 2 not that long ago.
you would definately get more room, 2 bedrooms have a full kitchen, laundry facilities. either a queen and sofa bed in the 2nd bedroom at SSR and king in the master bedroom. sofabed in the living room.
sorry I can't help you re OKW, as we have never stayed there but I do know the rooms at OKW are bigger than SSR
Personally, between the two I would go for SSR because of the proximity to DTD.

Stayed at OKW staying at SSR this year, I chose SSR for the location although it is smaller there is still plenty of room for the 4 of us in the 2 bedroom unit. Its good to have a living room as I'm an earlier riser and DH is a night owl so we can stay up/get up early and not disturb each other, we have the laundry area and a kitchen to eat breakfast when we like and not when everyone is ready to go to the restaurant.
For me its OKW. The rooms are larger and I prefer the atmosphere. There is a boat to DTD. It's a purely personal thing as I know a lot of people love SSR but for me I find the landscaping sparse and the outside of the building remind of a victorian lunatic asylum which has been disneyfied. It just seems an impersonal resort.
