Hi dibbers,

Im just in the process of finalising the last three nights of our xmas holiday and have hit a little dilema which i need ur opinions on .....

2 rooms at the AS movies are gonna work out at £264 each on the 28-31 Dec 09 but when i look at the us disney i can get a (i think) 1 room at the POR for $891.

if i'm honest i quite like the idea of the movies but the POR seems like better value for money! What do you think?

Thanks for any advice.

Hi

I would go with POR a bit more relaxed.

POR do rooms for 5 but one bed is a trundle bed which isonly suitable for under 9's.

Look on the Disney UK site for prices as we found they are cheaper than the US site at the moment.

Disney UK seem incapable of booking a party of five into POR though, something to do with the way their contracts/systems work.

I have stopped at both resorts and would pick POR over AS anyday.:)

I would say that POR is a nicer resort than ASMo (though I do like it there too), but depending on your family you may prefer the extra room you'll get from 2 rooms at ASMo. For example, if you have teenage girls who take ages in the bathroom ;) it might be better to have two rooms and thus two bathrooms :)

We also love POR
Stayed there in 2007 - going back in AUgust for 3 weeks. Great theming and so relaxed.
However, for a short stay and a few extra bucks I would definitely be tempted to try one of the deluxe resorts such as The Contemporary.
