Hi

Has anyone sayed at this hotel? VILLAGER PREMIER INTERNATIONAL DRIVE

I'm thinking of booking it and I just wondered what people thought of it and I also wondered how regular the transoprtation they offer to the theme parks is?

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi,
I'm copying and pasting this from when someone pm'd me and asked about it

If theres' anything else, just ask, I've stayed there 4 times.
-----------------------------

The hotel rooms are basic - two beds, a tv, chest of drawers, fridge, microwave. There's a bathroom with a toilet and bath/shower in and the sink to wash in is kind of in the bedroom. Has air conditioning that works well hot or cold.

There's normally two pools.

You get a free continental breakfast - muffins, croissants etc there's also bread out next to toasters. I never ate there myself so I don't know what it was like.

There's no onsite restaurant but you get money off next doors Village Inn

In between the pools theres a open bar that seemed quite nice and friendly.

I didn't use their buses to the parks as I was driving every time.
I did notice at the time they were doing one bus to Disney and Universal in the morning and one bus to get you home in the evening so it did seem you would be a little restricted to when you could go and leave.

If you're going to Sea World then you can get the I Ride that stops right outside. The I ride was a complete gosend and if you're not driving I'd really recommend buying the 7 day passes ($7) from the tickey booth thats next to the petrol station next to the hotel (the petrol station is also a great place to buy drinks and snacks).
The I Ride is great as it'll take you all along International Drive all day and the buses (look like trams) are frequent and the drivers are really friendly.
If you don't won't to struck to the free shuttle buses, just get on the I Ride towards Sea World (Villager Premier side is to Sea World, on the opposite outside the Sheraton Vistana Village is to I Drive) and ask the driver which stop to get off at and they will drop you at a bus stop where you can get a Lynx bus (locals buses) straight to Disney, I don't remeber the number but they'll tell you.

If you're going to Sea World you can get the I Ride right there. If you've got a car that'll be irrelevant thugh!

I've gone to the hotel through Virgin and booked direct. I like the location (being slightly off I Drive it's quiet) and I found it nothing fancy but CLEAN! And that's what mattered to me!

We're staying there in - WOW - 2 WEEKS TODAY!! :D :D :D

One question I had... do the rooms have data ports that you can plug a laptop into to go online? If so, I'll make my trip reports daily from there!!

If not, I will let you know how it was when we get back!!

We haven't stayed there yet but after reading this site and others we decided that this hotel would do us fine. We only need somewhere to lay our weary heads after a day in the parks - we will be there in October

I dont know if posting this link is allowed but here is a company I have used in the past and had no problem with.. www.midashotels.com. They are offering the Village Premier in October for less than £8 per person per night.
