as anyone stayed in the travelodge on american way just off i-drive. if you have please let me know hat it is like.

Sorry, no, but welcome - your first post! Someone will know, I'm sure (only stayed in Travelodges in the UK, not much help!!!)

Hi,

I stayed there a couple of years ago. It's apretty standard motel with a small pool. Doesn't look anything like the brochure. Nothing spectatcular, either way. Not a bad location near a Walgreens chemist (good for essentials) and a steady 30mins walk to Universal (most catch a cab).

hi kemo we were booked to stay in travelodge july 2002, we stayed 1 night then paid to move to another hotel. we found tl pretty awfull the room had a lot of flys buzin about the sheets were dirty the bathroom stank and the carpet was filthy, we were shown 2 other rooms that were just as bad.after refusing them the security guard then used his key 2 walk into our room and demanded 2 no what was wrong with them. we found it pretty scary . the reception was also a joke it was like something out of fawlty towers. sorry we cant say anything good about this hotel tilly.

We have stayed here too. It is a pretty typical motel style place. No exactaly great. I would suggest you try and upgrade to a better place. The room my mum and dad were given stank all week of mould.

I have never stayed there but I work for a travel company and see an awful lot of complaints about that hotel. Either that or people check out after the first night. The Crowne Plaza Universal on Universal Boulevard just off of I Drive is lovely. Probably a bit more expensive than the Travelodge but well worth the money.

we stayed there 2000 first time we went to florida we did not like this hotel very noisy and staff were not very helpfull and this ruined our holiday would not stay there again we like the clarion as this is a proper hotel and not a motel and it is nice and quiet and can walk to all the restraunts on i drive
