It's a Girl! An African elephant calf was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom on Tuesday, July 8. Weighing in at a mere 230 pounds, Kianga is the daughter of 18-year-old Vasha. "The next critical milestone is for Kianga to continue the bonding process with her mother, who will teach her important lessons and protect her as she is introduced to the herd," said John Lehnhardt, Animal Operations Director for Animal Kingdom. In the near future you will be able to see Kianga on camera monitors at Rafiki's Planet Watch.
Now miniature golfers at both Winter Summerland and Fantasia Gardens can reserve a tee time in person. No telephone reservations are accepted.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers return to Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex for their 2004 NFL pre-season Training Camp July 31 through August 18, 2004. Admission to the training camp is free -- just visit the tent to the right of the complex's main entrance to receive a complimentary admission ticket, then enter using the special gate for training camp guests. General daily practices will be held each morning from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. and each afternoon from 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. (Schedule is subject to change without notice.)
