So last year we stayed at the fantastic Port Orleans: French Quarter and loved it.
So next time (some time in 2010) we would like to stay at the Universal resort for FOTL passes, so whats the recommendations? Is there something a bit quirky that isn't the price of HRH because that would be way out of our budget.
Thanks guys.

Why not split your holiday and spend only a few nights at a Universal hotel? that way you get use of FOTL for a few days and can choose something cheaper for the rest of your holiday
We are doing one night only at RPR to get two days FOTL and staying at POFQ for the other 13 nights. Can't wait!

Sorry thats what I meant to say, we are doing PO:FQ for 7 nights, a couple of nights at Universal and the rest at St. Petes.
I just have no ideas on Universal resort hotels so was looking for some pointers, which hotel is the RPR?

RPR-royal pacific resort
there are only 3 universal resorts that get you FOTL passes
HRH,RPR and the portofino bay
they are all quite plush hence the prices which can be high if you only want one night
(we are staying 8th July and its $425) but there are 5 of us and it still cheaper than buying express plus passes for 2 days(which only get you to FOTL once each ride)

Oh I see, the cheeky beggars! Anyway thanks for letting me know I will look into those and see if the budget stretches that far.
Thanks for the info as always.

If you are going to stay for a while it may be worth buying an annual pass. You get reduced rates at the 3 hotels as well as dining discounts etc. If you want to try to see how much of a difference it makes type in APH in the code box on the universal booking form and it will show you AP rates.

Hi, we love POFQ too always stay there although this time having a change & staying @ Vista Cay plus the Biltmore in Miami for a few days:spin:
In the past we've always spent 7/8 nights @ POFQ & then the same at Universal...we've done Portofino & last time the HRH.
As you say they are expensive but well worth it although we weren't as impressed with HRH as with PH. Friends of ours have stayed @ RPH & they said it was lovely. It's the cheapest of the 3 so that might be a good option if only for a couple of days. It has a plane parked in a pool as well so quite quirky!
Have a great time:wave:
