Hello Everyone,

Well, sorry to say that the recession has well and truly landed in our house. We were in Orlando in March this year, but it seems like at least 2 years ago now!!

Can't see when we might afford to go back - although, OF COURSE, we WILL!!

In the meantime, my Dad has retired in France and so as we sit watching the rain drops slide down the windows, he is complaining of having to stay indoors on his computer as there is NO WAY you could go outside when it is 35 degrees out!!! So we thought, aha...... lets organise a holiday to visit Dad and all stop off at DLP on way home for a few days. Have been before, and Orlando it is not, but might be a quick Disney fix and at least it'll be something to look forward to.

Have actually been before and booked all myself for DH 40th birthday. Stayed at the Holiday Inn (which I know has changed hands) but then we were a family of 4 and now we are family of 5 (10, 9 and 3)

Can anyone recommend a hotel, preferably within Disney "grounds" but can be a partner hotel that has rooms big enough for us. Surely we can't be the only family with 3 kids!!!

I know I can rely on my good buddies at DIBB.

Hi - the Newport Bay has family rooms which sleep 5 but I think you have to contact them direct. We've stayed in most of the disney hotels and all of them are fine!

Stayed at the santa fe(halloween), and the cheyenne(august), both OK santa fe rooms OK but IMO that's all, for a bit more Cheyenne very good, the theming is excellent, the walk back from the parks can be a bit tiring also has bunk beds great for the kids(never understood why more hotels don't have these most families have more than one child), if we went back again we would stay at the sequoia alot closer to the parks but less fuss in the hotel than the others nearer.

I think the only place that def sleeps 5 in a room is the Newport, unless you get a suite at one of the others (and if you're reining in the spending not an option!). I think Disney can add an extra bed in a room but also think there's an age limit, but not sure what it is. Sorry, that's not much help!
