My original thread on a hotel at DLP got deleted with all the others yesterday, but just to say a big thank you to all the people that offered advice. DH has now booked the Newport Bay on a 4 nights for 3 offer. We go on Sept 17th and will be there for my little boys second Birthday on the 20th.

The Disneyland hotel had no availability, so this wasnt an option in the end. The NB looks great and I think will suit us very well!

Looking forward to it now...will be a great "appetiser" before the main event in Orlando at Xmas!!

Thanks again!

Have a wonderful time. The Newport Bay is a very nice hotel - still love my Hotel New York though!!:D I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you get a great view, just like the one in Ian's photo.:)

I loved the Newport Bay Club and would happily stay there again. As its your son's birthday why not book a character birthday tea. We did this in January for my DD 5th birthday and as she said 'it was the bestest birthday ever'. We saw Donald, Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale, Eyeore, Tigger and the bad guy from Pochohontas (that I can't remember the name of). I think it cost around £12 per head and was well worth it.

Another vote for the newport bay, its my favourite hotel I loved it when we stayed there.
When we last went down main street on the right hand side on the corner I cant rember the name of the restarant! (rob. rar should know! lol) they do a tea party, its very reasonable and all the cakes you can eat we saw lots of characters too, including tigger. My kids loved it
