Emerald island

Hi I've been reading all the posts relevant to my trip in november, we are staying at Emerald island I havent read any reports about the area, could any one tell me what it's like.

Hi Julie
We stayed at Secret Key Cove at Emerald Island in January of this year.
It is a lovely place and the homes are beautiful.
The entrance is stunning with the dolphin fountains and they are a very friendly bunch at reception and will help you in any way they can.
There is a quiet place with internet use and a nice gym, not that I used it, but some members of our group did.
The communial pool is big and clean and was deserted when we went.
The playground is very small but it went down well with our kids.
The man on the security gate was really nice and got up out of his office everytime and waved or saluted us in, a really jolly bloke.
Emerald Island is right next door to the old Splendid China and as soon as you see the big dragon sign, this is where you turn off.
It really is about 5 minutes drive to WDW and a 1or2 minute drive to Formosa Gardens Centre, which has TGI Fridays, Subway, Outback Steakhouse, Dairy Queen Etc.
The rest of the 192 strip is right on your doorstep.
We thought it was a lovely place and we stayed in a 6 bed home ( 12 of us)
I would stay there again.

I've not stayed at that development but Indian Creek is in the same area. Publix is near(on the 192) by it's better than the winn dixie that's in Formosa Gardens. Eckerds, Red Lobster, Carrabbera’s,Giordano’setc. You can alos use the shortcut to disney. We just came back from Emerald Island abd stayed in the villa belonging to the sales director ofthe site.
It is a lovely place, very upmarket and I agree with all Frantic Frog said we couldnt fault it and I am quite picky!!!
