OH NO! My heart is broken!!!!!

I am SOOOOOOOOO upset as I have just found out that "It's a Small World" will be shut when we travel in January!

I have been to Florida 4 times but never as a mum and one of the highlights of going was to take my kids on this ride. They are onyl 6 and 5 and would have loved it!

I am very dissapointed now! :(

I am worried about this as well...we do not go until March 2005...but mousesavers.com say that Its a small world will be shut through Spring 2005!!!!! My husband and son will be distraught!!!

Does anyone know when it is likely to open.........they had better not shut spaceship earth...or that will really do it!!!!!

It is supposed to reopen 18th March while we are there.... I have threatened both my boys that if they don't behave they will spend an entire day just going round and round on it!!:D

don't panic just yet according to my brits guide and a couple of other web sites iv'e seen "its a small world" was closed for refurbishment until may 2005 and re-opened for the happiest celebration on earth with a new updated look so it should be open in january.

I find that ride sooooo annoying, but not as much as the 'imagination' ride in Epcot, which had this awful repetitive tune playing over and over again. It took pictures of everyone at the end of the ride and everyone's faces were annoyed looking- one person was even asleep!

Its a Small World together with Jungle Cruise are strong traditions in our family - my parents used to make me go on them when I was a child every holiday, and now they make the grandchildren go on them, my father has been known to actually film the whole affair from start to finish and we even had the cd years ago :erm:
We will certainly go on it at least a couple of times on our next visit, will be first time since its refurb!

One of my friends got stuck in the middle of SW when it broke down for half a hour or so, that was some four years ago (true story), I believe he is now on day release from the institution!!!!!(not so true)

We were told on the K2K tour that a local radio station was played loudly in the Utilidor system (tunnels under MK), one of the reasons was to maintain the sanity of the CM's just coming off after an 8 hour stint on IASW!!!!!!
