Walt Disney World reverted to normal operating hours today, September 7, for the most part, following the worst of Hurricane Frances's effects. There are still a few exceptions, however:

--Fantasmic! at Disney-MGM Studios is cancelled.
--Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is cancelled (resumes Wednesday).
--Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is cancelled (resumes Thursday).
--Disney's Palm Golf Course is closed (call 407-WDW-GOLF for alternate arrangements).

Mickey's Pin Trading Afternoon, usually held every Wednesday from 2 - 6 p.m. at Port Orleans - French Quarter (in the former Bonfamille's Cafe restaurant), has been cancelled for tomorrow, September 8. The weekly event will resume next Wednesday, September 15. Children ages 12 and under are welcome in the Kids' Trading Zone.

Disney's Vero Beach Resort is set to reopen this Friday, September 10.

Pleasure Island's New Year's Eve, December 31, 2004, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., will include live music from Cheap Trick, Tone Loc and Kurtis Blow, snacks, party favors (hats and noisemakers), dessert buffet, champagne toast at midnight and fireworks. Tickets are $89.46 (including tax); tickets for WDW Passholders or Pleasure Island Passholders are $78.81 (includes tax). Must be 21 or older. No refunds.

Any news when Fantasmic will start up again, I really hope we don't miss it!
